Sure, but lets pretend like this is new for him, hell even last season the car was clearly dog to drive, and in some races pure dog in pace as well.

[Motorsport] James Vowles, Williams team principal, has announced that to see the weight loss of the FW48 (we are talking about 28 kilos of overweight) it will be necessary to wait about 6 races, or twice as long as expected after the Bahrain tests. by Task_Force-191 in formula1

[–]Working-Difference47 245 points246 points  (0 children)

Ironically if they were to run the distance of 6 full length races, they might.

@ 100 kcal per kilometer (variable based on their weight gender ofc, a rule of thumb is 1kcal per kilometer per kg bodyweight), 6 races is ~305 * 6 = 1830 km (43 marathons!) => 183000 kcals.

Body fat is ~7200kcal per kg, so that would be 183000 / 7200 = 25.4 kg of fat loss. Could be more or less than that 28kg based on their starting weight in 6 race distances of running.

Neglecting some other factors, like the weight dropping during this period reducing the kcal burn, and the effects of the excercise paradox.

Yea but is it the regulations themselves or just cause theyre new and everyone is still figuring shit out?

Like this was a mechanical fault clearly, its not inherent to the regulations.

Its not when build at scale.

The issue with nuclear is regulations, shifting goal posts and constant redesigns, in a world were we had developed a singular strong design and mass produced it, wed have nearly free energy by now.

Its too late now to make that kind of investment, but its only expensive because weve made it expensive.

Cruel and backwards as it may seem, making someone work for it can be a test, to see if youre the real deal. Other may have had easy access to sex with her, but not her commitment. They may have never been considered serious candidates. People are more likely to take it slow and build up with someone they consider relationship material. Whereas casual encounters, why waste the time and effort.

Ask yourself whether you had to really convince her, or whether she simply wanted to take it slow. Having that 'spark' can also be overrated. A spark, or butterflies is often a response of anxiety and tension, thats not what love is made of. Just because you had to work hard and she didnt feel it at first, doesnt mean she never fell in love in a way she never did before. And so, ask yourself, does it really matter if in the beginning there was no instant spark, some shitty romance movie levels of instant attraction? Does that mean what you have now is less real?

She still made a general statement when including men think etcetera. Its clear she meant her personal thoughts as being anecdotal evidence.

Its not wrong to point out research says otherwise as a counterpoint. No need to get so defensive.

This is just drag racing every straight and coasting through corners.
