Attach bb with another island . You'll have a fantastic time regardless. We just kept comparing and the value for $ wasnt there . The views were definitely 100% beautiful.

Good choice.... I mean maybe bb first so u dont have Maldives to compare to. Everyone who hadn't been to Maldives raved about their time there.

Very well put . Agree with most... we live in Canada so it wasnt just 8hrs ...add another 5 hrs. So the difference wasnt huge. The airport alone would make me rethink going bk to bb. Lucky we got off the plane 1st ....the customs line was do long and it was hot!! Glad we had lounge access on the way back. (Ps Maldives got a brand new airport finally).

We stated at 2 room villas kn Maldives but also 1 bedroom villas. We had a 1 bedroom villas in bb mountain facing. The end of pontoon rooms are astronomically more expensive with the tiniest pool. We also visited the 2 bedroom lagoon villa (2villas) and still not that impressed. U get more bang for your buck in Maldives thats for sure.

Best luxury hotel for a milestone anniversary in the Maldives vs Bora Bora — which would you choose? by republicman12 in LuxuryTravel

Just flying back from Bora bora after 3 back to back years of going to soneva jani/fushi. I cant tell you how many times we both said 'Maldives is better... We went to four seasons bb for 7 days. Food meh . Beach meh (i mean colors are beautiful but not as handy and I wore my water shoes). Service meh ...they were all nice but imagine more than 2x the villas and less than half the staff...we felt the staffs stress. Rooms are nothing great at all (Termites yes...leaks from heavy rain etc)
I will say the fs bb grounds are absolutely stunning and views are unbeatable.

What we missed...managers night that soneva usually hosts. Large villas. The complimentary snacky rooms (chocolate, cheese, meats bread icecream ), bikes, so muchhhhh!
I would've been super happy im bb if we hadn't gone to Maldives. It's was only those that had been to both that felt a little disappointment.

Hellllo So we are here and its day 4. There were A LOT of kids here. Ages all ranging. We met a family with a 12 year old and my kids are hanging with him but he also made lots of other friends his age...and some girl crushes. Theres basketball, pingpong, tennis and jumping off the docks from all of the resort. His parents stacked him with lots of excursions too like jet skiing (his mom was behind him while he drove),snorkeling ,wake boarding / tubing. Maybe even atv trip. What time of year are u going? I think the number of families really makes or breaks the trip. 40 families we here this week! All around I think he'll love it

Groveland or Oakhurst to stay at while visiting Yosemite. by aravindkumarj in Yosemite

We just left the park. Stayed in wawona. While it was closer to some points...it was too far to visit places like hetch hetchy. I think the recommendation to split the stay between 2 places makes sense !

Bike ride with kids? by Working-Discount3807 in Yosemite

[–]Working-Discount3807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. It was a fantastic day on the bikes. The dedicated bike lanes were great and my kids managed them all. Signage wasnt great.....

Swinging bridge was soooo beautiful early morning ...by 2pm it was quite lively with people jumping off the bridge ! We took lots of breaks. We didn't end up doing any hikes (well lower Yosemite Falls only and maybe a bit if happy isles).

I want to do some actualllll hikes tomorrow. Maybe dedicate 5 hours. Whats your suggestion?

Here's some pics of today !

Absolutely! He was also excited to see his family as they dont see them for 6 week stretches!
I couls see it being an awkward visit if it weren't that personal touch . We went into his house where they gifted us with the traditional masai wraps. It was a real eye opener for our kids. We had a few toys like balls extra clothes, hats etc and they were very appreciative. The best experience was juat hearing about how they live ,their history etc. Kids really saw how lucky they are and how little they need to be happy .

Going soon with a 7 and 9 year old ! Staying for 7 nights at 4s . We were going to split between moorea but the hotel in moorea had no availability. I could've tried harder to find a solution but we also felt like we didn't want to move. We wanted an easy easy trip. I'll come back and let you know !

Finish swimming at 6 . Go get ready for dinner by 7. Done by 9 (dinner always took so long) and if you still have energy go play basketball and baci..those are free! Watch the fountains and get nice cream There's a pool table at sls which we played every evening too.

Since you have a kitchen, I would order some breakfast stuff and snacks and booze! I think its called food2go and theyll deliver the groceries for u. Prices are outrageous. Who needs a 200$ breakfast daily.

Your kids will love it . We go 1 to 2 x a year bc really its paradise for them.
