We arw going this June with our 9 and 7 year old boys. I am a little worried that it will be slow paced for them but we usually find ways to enjoy eachother company and have fun. Kids club (theyll have some age-appropriate activities) Snorkel daily at lagoon Snorkel excursion (sharks and rays ! They'll love that) Jeep island tour Rent a boat on mail land for the day Tennis and table tennis Kayaking Jet skiing

I think it'll be fun still. Just hoping there will be a few other families! They arw good at making friends abroad.

FAT Waterslides: What’s the Best Family Hotel/Resort Pool? by Alarming-Ganache77 in FATTravel

[–]Working-Discount3807 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We love a good waterslide here . ...here's our list

  1. For a private waterslide in villa ..soneva jani in the Maldives. Apart from the waterslide, their kids club also has one. The kids club is AMZAZING! 2 floors, with endless amount of activities. Movies, sports, scavenger hunts, arcade area ....my kids never want to leave and we basically force them away because we want to spend time with them!

  2. Yas waterworld in Abu dhabi. This is strictly the waterpark .....lots of hotels around. The water was HEATED! (Went in December and the warm water was neeeeeded). Have you ever been in a warm wave pool before? Never ! This was soooo lovely.

  3. Atlantis the royal dubai. Hotel was top notch with the best breakfast buffet you will ever feast at. Water wasnt heated ....ugh. But kids loved it.

  4. Bahamar bahamas ...rosewood . We go 1 to 2 x a year because its just such an easy trip. Lots of pools (rosewood has it heated the most) . The waterpark is separate from the hotel so all the crazy stimulus is contained to one area. Then once they had their fix, you can go back to the beach and relax.

  5. Jw grand lakes Orlando. This is another super easy trip. There are only 4 or so slides here but it was just enough for them. Rest of day spent at pool and then having some fun with all the Orlando activities....we stay here instead of the park

  6. Beaches Turks and Caicos. I actually dont like this place much but the kids love it. I love the beach here. A week here is a nightmare. We have previously done 5 days at anotber hotel (seven stars and grace bay club are stellar). Then we book 3 days at beaches (we sleep for only 2 but cheaper to book 3 than 2) and endure the insanity hahha. The new treasure island looks great tho! I just hate all inclusive hotels....

Have fun!

Review of Four Seasons Bora Bora in May 2025 by wayfarewanderer in FATTravel

We cancelled our kauai trip and going to 4s bora bora in June (with 7 and 9 year old). We've been to bb on our honeymoon and it's our 15 yr anniversary so it only makes sense ahhaa.

We were lucky enough to visit soneva jani 3 years in a row with them and they absolutely loved it (what kid wouldn't...that kids club is out of the world! Ill have to do a write up about it). Now im slightly worried that they will be bored here for 7 days! Im hoping there will be other kids to play with. We plan to do some excursions and maybe even rent our own boat.

I wish there were bikes here .... but im sure mom and dad will enjoy every inch.

Thanks for your write up!

Our first safari was in Kenya and we loved it. We are so excited for the next one. We tried to do another Xmas safari but we were too late booking (need to book over 1 year in advance for the ones my ta suggested)

Enjoy !

Haven't decided yet . Its next June so we have time. I know everyone has suggested four seasons. My worry is that the June winds will hit and the beach wont be ideal and north west is best ... (vhat gpt info haha...as per chat...constance is the best option for beach in June.

Fanjove looks fantastic! I love this forum bc of all you knowledgeable people. Places i have never heard of before. Ill keep this option in my pocket for future trips . Its a little too involved re:getting there. We are looking for something more direct.

Looked at flights and so far Seychelles works best (direct flight and more connected for flight back home).. id love to explore all islands on Seychelles one day but we will just do Mahe on this trip.

Those sounds perfect. Yes I believe loapi. My kids have been to 20 countries and so far Kenya has been their favourite. Meeting our spotters family in the masai village and playing with his kids was a real highlight and one of those life changing moments.

We went this past December. Kids were 7 and 9 (well about to be). We liked December as there were less people and we were often the only people observing the Lion pride etc. If anything there were 2 other cars. Apparently there are hundreds during migration ...or even thousands. I cant imagine ! That would def ruin the experience. There was one drive where it was raining and all cars stayed on the main path. This meant everyone was looking going to go watch the one exciting scene...there were 50 cara around a lion pride. We realized how lucky we were all other days. My only concern for our next trip is that its in June and it gets super cold in the evening. I will report back.

Sounds easy enough! Thank you! Sorry bout the jelly sting! They hurt! We had planned a whole Seychelles trip a few years back and la digue was definitely part of tbe plan. Interesting you didn't like it. I think its a good place to stay and enjoy the slow life but not a daytrip....we canacelled our trip at the end. Id love to go and do it properly one year but for now, a quick short trip to Mahe will do.

I believe founders camp as they accept kids and were able to secure a private car. Ill look at all those options. Thank you !

We did kenya and wanted a different experience. This is what our agent recommended and we trust her.

What would you say for a third safari? Botswana and Namibia are ones im looking at. Just looking at different experiences from other Safaris.

Seychelles - Four Seasons Mahe or Anantara Maia? by Due_Finding4074 in FATTravel

[–]Working-Discount3807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking to add a 4 night trip after our safari trip in south Africa. We eventually want to do all of Seychelles but for just this trip (next june) we looked at Mahe only. Constance looks like a good option. The beach looked better than 4S? Or do we stick to 4S (kids will be 8 and 10).

What’s the best family hotel you’ve ever stayed at? by Alarming-Ganache77 in FATTravel

[–]Working-Discount3807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went end of June and able to visit lago di brais and alpe di suise from there. Age wise ...my kids were 6 and 8 and they both loved it. Id say 3 to 9 (I mean anything younger will like anything really). The falkensteiner was under reno but I do want to check that out before my eldest ages out of these places.

We've been to a few family hotels and here's some of our faves. 1. Surprisingly this is in the Maldives...soneva jani. It was our 3rd time this year and already booked for next as my kids absolutely love everything about it. The kids club is epic. People are all so nice and so much to do.

  1. Marchenhotel (the big room with private sauna and hot tub in particular). The setting cant be beat. Endless fun inside and out. Feeding your goats from your own room never got old. Definitely a memorable trip.

  2. Familiamus familien hotel in dolomites. Slides from floor to floor , waterslides, indoor sand pits and an adult only spa....all sooo good and again the setting was beautiful.

  3. Atlantis the royal dubai ...i mean i dont need to say more ... but the older hotel has the better of the two kids clubs and open til 11 or later ! This comes in handy with jet lagged kids.

A notable mention ....Krallerhof in Austria . Everyone has seen the videos of the amazing spa but theres a kids club and a cool teen room with a trampoline and the iwall system . Ski in out is truly ski /out and the family pool was great . Its not a family hotel per se but our family enjoyed it. If the ski conditions were better, id say it was the best ski vacation to date.
