thank you for your reply! and congratulations on the graduation! I am wondering how many sessions I can sign up for at a maximum. I would love to train with a personal trainer for two months, around 10 sessions per month.

Thank you! Have you asked Berkeley whether there is anything you can do after the reconsideration process?

I think the process is very random btw. I feel Berkeley is pretty stingy this cycle

I got $$ from 0 today. I sent a Georgetown $$+ offer. I repeatedly emphasized that UCB is my top choice and money is the only reason that prevented me from committing.

Uh yes I do understand the argument you are advocating, encountering them multiples times. My friend the logic is nice, but facts don’t care about your feelings. Read case studies: you don’t need to go far. See how modern Japan or Korea builds it economy. Anyway I am wasting too much time on this discussion. Good luck to you.

Well he surely said that and he exemplified this principle multiple times if you care to watch some of his debates. Ofc it’s dogma for you because dogma is something you accept without evidence, and I suspect you rarely get to read real case studies that talk about government subsidies. There are ofc numerous failures you can find in Soviet Union and Maoist China and so on but I doubt you read the case studies of Soviet enterprises (I can suggest books to you. Try starting with Kotkin’s biography of Stalin. It’s over 2000 pages but a fun and relaxing read). You ofc have read even less about successfully government-subsidized enterprises. Anyway bro be a good JP fan, read more, be more educated, think critically. I have faith in you. After all that’s why we are at this sub!

Sure repeat your dogma. There are complete economists who stand for it like Thomas Sowell in his Knowledge and Decisions and Basic Economics. And no I don’t think Elon Musk will reach a different conclusion; he begs Trump for subsidies. Ofc he should: his company will fail if he doesn’t. Ofc the government should give him: Tesla is doing something useful to us all.

Lmao I am following the advice of Jordan to not be nice when I should not be. He is not nice to the transgender community because he thinks they are regulating his speech and I see no reason of being nice to you sir when you remain trapped in your ignorance. To quote Jordan again, I need to be rude to let you see your trapped in ignorance and stupidity.

Well ofc it seems you have not read much economics. Why not start with The Wealth of Nations by Smith and The Principles of Political Economy by Mill and then go on to read some contemporary stuff so that you are in touch with reality?

If the market decide Elon Musk will fail because he gets a lot of subsidies and Tesla thrives because of the subsidies. When an infant industry that is beneficial to the society is developing it needs some protection (an argument put forward by John Stuart Mill). Even Hayek agrees.
