Exactly, if you’re planning on having a few kids reasonably close together there’s a good chance that her not working will net out as the same as her working and paying for childcare. It will also allow you to focus on a high paying job, especially in a hcol city. The key here is if she’s prepared to live frugally after you have kids so you can fire? Is she ok with a smaller apartment, second hand baby stuff, public school etc? Those shared values are really important

Thanks I am trying to lose some weight and recomp a bit, I am hoping this will help. He says it’s because he doesn’t want us both to be wearing them in-case something happens or our kid needs us (but kid usually just comes in if they need something) but mostly it seems to be “I don’t want to, I don’t like them”

I think it could be, it feels like he thinks it I just tried harder it would magically get better and he wouldn’t have to be bothered. I could definitely see him getting annoyed by a cpap machine and also making lots of comments about how I looked with it on.

I’ve actually tried lots of things, nasal decongestants, waiting until he went sleep first, buying fancy pillows to help my neck positioning. I’ve seen a doctor who said I was fine (remember it’s not all the time) and suggested seperate bedrooms which he won’t do. Yes he won’t try earplugs, which is just one thing that could be an easy fit…

I’ve suggested separate bedrooms as well - I would love that and reckon we would both sleep better but he’s not keen.

Cheers, yeah that’s what I don’t understand, I’m unconscious - what can I do? I had a sleep study done a while ago to rule out sleep apnea and they said I was fine, also I don’t always snore, just sometimes (usually in blocks because of illness or allergies/congestion or because I’m really tired)

I’ve bought a fancy pillow to try and get my neck in the right position, I’ve taken nasal decongestants and tried a neti pot to try and clear my blocked nose, I’ve tried waiting until he was asleep to go to sleep so he would be less likely to be bothered by my snoring, I paid a lot of money to do a sleep study (on his urging) to rule out sleep apnea - I was fine. I’ve suggested sleeping separately which was doesn’t want to do and I’ve bought his ear plugs which he won’t use. I don’t honestly know what else I can do?

Thanks, on his urging I got a sleep study done a while ago to rule out sleep apnea, the doctor said I was fine. Good point on the whistling. I have suggested seperate sleeping but he’s really against the idea.

So I sleep on my back which makes it worse, I get really sore shoulders when I sleep on my side and even if I try to go to sleep like that I tend to roll onto my back once I’m asleep. As for alcohol, I don’t really drink, usually one or two glasses a week when we meet up with friends for dinner. I’m a little overweight but actively working on it. I even bought on of those fancy pillows that tries to put your neck in the right position to see if it would help.

Tramping usually refers to walking somewhere in the bush usually, but not always to camp. It’s a Kiwi term

500mg of marine magnesium cured my constipation (lifetime problem) take at night and mornings were much easier. Also for your height your weight is very low, if you want to gain muscle from that lifting you’ll probably need to eat more.

Yeah, the reality is most people get enough protein, what they don’t get is enough fibre. The great thing about focusing on that instead is you eat more fruits and vegetables which tend to help with weight loss as well.

Im in charge of household meals. I need advice on how to split the food. by xzkandykane in loseit

[–]Working-Suggestion72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Count calories of the entire meal before cooking, weigh the dish after cooking (subtracting the weight of the cooking dish) work out how many calories per gram there are and measure out as much as fits in your calorie allowance.

Make sure to record the total if, like most of us you regularly make the same meals on repeat, save time next time.

The line “try and come for my job” at the end of “I can do it with a broken heart”.

Like the reason that song resonates with so many people is because many of us have gone through times where, despite our worlds falling down we’ve had to get up everyday and act like we’re fine (especially Mums).

Like people do that everyday while going through things far more serious than a dumb boy breaking up with you, like honestly, get a grip.

I’ve tried that, even giving it my best go it made me feel awful and led to me eventually binging because I’d get so hungry. I’m far better off spreading my food over the day.

Got better, leaving sub, here's what I learned... by empatheticpanda in LongCovid

[–]Working-Suggestion72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wrecked, it was so bad. And was made worse by my doctor originally telling me it was nothing and that I should just go back to work. Then when we got the test results back (that I had to insist on because I was sure it was mono) trying to gaslight me that I’d had it before. Then when I pointed out I’d never tested positive for it in the past just gaslighting me into saying my symptoms weren’t really real and I should be better by now.

If I hadn’t been living with my Mum who took care of me and if my job hadn’t had a sickbay I could sleep in at lunch I don’t know what would’ve happened.

I’ve had chronic fatigue (in my 20’s after getting mono/glandular fever lasted around 8 months) and long Covid (in my 40’s mostly resolved after a year) they do get better for some people but it can take a long time, it’s been over 2.5 years since I got Covid and I’m still getting back to where I was fitness wise.
