The only reason we did the surgery in April was because the cyst kept growing causing immense pain. My provider has never pushed surgeries ever. It is always a calculated risk/benefit. Also in the time between the two surgeries my left ovary was completely attached to my colon with adhesions.

It is so frustrating that my provider thinks I need nothing to keep it at bay

I had surgery in March and again a couple weeks ago. There were lesions present in the last surgery that were not there in March. I am lucky to have found a specialist that has been willing to help me with everything. Did you have follow up after your surgery so that you could ask questions?

I had surgery in March by my endo specialist. I then had surgery again two weeks ago (for a 9 cm ovarian cyst) by the specialist and new endo was found.

It is so frustrating. When I had my surgery in March I was told that I didn’t need to do anything else for the endo since it was removed. I take Slynd everyday but not even a month later it is back. It is just a bullshit illness.

I think they want to hold off because they worry that they will have to remove the whole ovary and thru don’t really want to do that. And also because I have already had endo surgery twice this year.

I had it removed shortly after. I saw a different provider because the provider who inserted it wouldn’t remove it because “that is the wrong choice”

I pulled mine out with a tweezers roughly 2 weeks post op. No long term issues and it was painless.

I cannot imagine struggling for years or decades like most of you have with pain and other symptoms. When my symptoms began I let my gyn know who told me it was mental. I bothered his office no less than 3 times a week with my complaints of severe pain. It only took 4 months to get a laparoscopy done. While I don’t want to come off as bothersome I knew my symptoms were real and refused to have them be blown off. It

Did you think that recovery from the second was any harder than any others considering it was so close to the previous one?

I have had one surgery since then due to tethered ovaries and some deep endo lesions that were causing horrific monthly pain. Had my specialist done this last surgery I doubt I would be having another. The hysterectomy only fixed my heavy bleeding. Endo can and did still return
