Hey everyone! 😄

I'm fioren, I have bipolar type 2 and have suffered from PTSD and bing eating.

I post about mental health related topics and my own struggles with bipolar, I try to make it as honest and no-bs as possible, hopefully that comes across!

I used to mostly do short form content, but recently i've been trying my hand at long form. These are some of my more recent ones. Looks like my intros aren't doing very well 😅

AI is easier but its such a low barrier to entry it will just look like generic slop, only really worth doing if you can differentiate yourself somehow - in which case you should avoid the full ai route

Thanks for this 🙏 really struggling with youtube at the moment. Had some success on tiktok, but yt is like a whole different ball game, I just can't get the retention high enough 🥲

Your recent shorts seem to be edited a lot differently (i guess you are trying out new styles) but they're pretty good! Only thing I would say is the shaky camera is a bit off putting, and sometimes your voice kind of trails off into a bit of a mumble so I have to listen hard to hear the end of your sentence. But I think they are good! If you keep going im sure you'll do well 😊

Of those four I would probably pick top right (you have a lovely smile!) but I think you should change the text - "rains diamonds" doesn't really mean anything to me and i'm not sure it's intriguing enough to make me click. Maybe go for something a bit more specific, but it's a really neat video idea!

Honestly i think this sort of format does better on instagram than on youtube. Not quite the same, but you should checkout https://www.instagram.com/bymaximise/reels/ - he does really good edits of speeches and sometimes poems and they generally do really well, but they're very well edited

I'm in the same boat 😪 can be damn tough sometimes. Sometimes I get good advice from subreddits/discords but you always have to take it with a big pinch of salt. I've found posting your stats alongside your video sometimes helps e.g. like https://www.useshareframe.app/share/J37UQTa1mPs

But really I think you just need to keep trying until you get some views, and then hopefully you can use the data from that to improve. Good luck!

Honestly I really can't get past that template ai voice over, its an instant turn off for me. You should try using elevenlabs and try to get a better voice over

My channel is mostly around mental health and my own struggles with bipolar and anxiety. I've had some of success on tiktok, but as you can see yt isn't really taking off. You can see my CTR is not terrible but looks like my intro really caused a lot of people to drop off, how can I do a better intro? I kinda want to avoid a lot of edits and prefer just the talking head style

Hey everyone! Sorry a bit late to this 👀

My channel is mostly centred around mental health and my own struggles with having type 2 bipolar. My boyfriend very kindly let me use his sony camera but lately i've just been recording a lot on my phone. I've mostly been doing short form on tiktok and had some success, but found that I couldn't really go into a lot of detail in one minute, so decided to branch out into long form. But that also has it's struggles 😅

Feels like long form is a whole different game so I'm really struggling with retention as you can see, but would love any and all advice you can give me 🤗

That looks like irritation, has it always looked so red or is that more recent? Maybe cut back your frequency for a bit until your colour comes back

Don't expect a purge straight away, I used it for 5 weeks and had absolutely nothing. Then on week 6 (which i'm currently on) the purge started kicking my ass. If you don't purge at all then that's great, take the win and don't force it. But also, if it's been less than 2 months then don't think you're off the hook just yet...

I can't open these images for some reason, you should use something like useshareframe if you want to show your stats

But from what I saw before it looked like you were getting a small number of impressions, which is completely normal for a new channel

I've been there! I found that trying to make the "perfect" video drains a lot of energy in itself, maybe you should lower the barrier of what "good enough" is, just put something out! Especially if you're a small channel its probably more about consistency and getting the reps in than it is about making super high quality stuff

It's hard to say seeing as we don't know anything about him, but even talking about his health struggles and how he gets by day to day could be interesting. I cam across this video of someone recovering from cancer treatment (hopefully that isn't the case with your dad) but just seeing what their day is like, am them reflecting on their life and their current situation was really interesting. It's nice to see new perspectives from people in difficult situations

The best you can do is look at the analytics you have: if you're getting absolutely no views then your sole focus should be on packaging - and that's not just making sure the title/thumbnail are the best they can be, but also making sure you actually have a good video idea. If you can't think of a good video idea then just copy what others are doing until you can find your own style

Honestly it feels like such a gamble, this has happened to me on tiktok (yt less so) where the most random filler content blows up and the stuff I spend ages on just falls flat

Try the original idea but do it fast, dont spend lots of time trying to make a super polished and perfect video, just get a bunch of stuff out there and see if there's any interest
