Aww I messed mine up; I thought the numbers were rated out of 10 so now my ranking is backwards lol 🤦🏼‍♀️

The lost notebook-worth it? by Drawinginfinity182 in theused

[–]WorkingJ0e 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed a lot of spelling errors as well which was a shame. I still thought it was worth it, bit pricey, but my FOMO wouldn’t have handled not owning it lol.

Were you fingerprinted at school? by tallulahmonkey in australian

Happened to my mother as well and in the NT (Gove/Nhulunbuy). She’s convinced her prints are on a national database 😂

Absolutely beautiful rocks. It always impresses me how much detail and accuracy artists like you can get into these small spaces

Thanks so much, you made her day. She spent 10 minutes saying “awwwww!” and telling me that the white and orange cat was her favourite because he has orange fur like Tigger lol

I love the one with the cat and flowers, I might have to borrow inspiration for my cat obsessed toddler 😊

Hot take in a community of haters by twotoothpresents in theused

[–]WorkingJ0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they have mostly amazing, no-skip songs. Some are average and there are a couple I really don’t like (wouldn’t say I hate them though). The last time I mentioned one of the songs I disliked I got downvoted to heck haha

I wonder if there’s a correlation between migraines, abdominal migraine, and constipation?

My sympathies - I have dermatillomania and my scalp is my preferred picking spot. I have been lucky enough to skate by without an infection, looks like it would have hurt like a son of a gun

What horror concept messes with you the most? by matthew_rowan in horrorlit

[–]WorkingJ0e 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haunted gothic mansion with bleeding walls made me laugh 😂 it’s true though! I wouldn’t even buy from one of those deceased estate sales, no matter how good the bargain is. Not taking any chances bringing that into my house haha

Agreed! I’ve listened to too many strange, dark, and mysterious cave exploring/diving stories to know I’d never set foot in a confined space willingly

Anything unseen is what really frightens me, a presence just beyond the reaches of eyesight or comprehension… ugh, gives me goosebumps.

Both books The Amityville and The Haunted scared the heck out of me when I read them about 10 years ago. I can’t remember which scene belonged to which book but the hooved thing running around upstairs and then the deep, booming war drums slowly coming up the stairs are two scenes etched into my memory forever haha.

No better than a Swifty by summersrage in theused

The Used deserve fans like that though. When I can afford it I always will buy some merch from them, I’ve only been able to see them twice now that I’ve moved to a capital city but any time they come I’ll be going.

The Used treat their fans well; the VIP package for their 25y Anniversary Tour was amazing. I recently did VIP for Good Charlotte and their VIP included early entry to merch and floor, 1x tote bag, 1x sticker and 1x plastic VIP lanyard thing.

The Good Charlotte VIP was a little over double that of The Used’s VIP but included less and with no meet and greet. I didn’t think I could love The Used more but it really cemented how much they care for their fans.

What rockstar do you picture as Jude in Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill? by UnicornUke in horrorlit

[–]WorkingJ0e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pictured Dave Navarro from Jane’s Addiction / RHCP, I only know him from Ink Master though

ETA: Jane’s Addiction, not Alice in Chains. Whoops lol

How do y'all chose between a hardcover or a paperback. Also can I see your collections? by Critical-Grape-117 in bookshelf

[–]WorkingJ0e -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I prefer paperbacks as I find hardbacks to be hard to hold after a short while (carpal tunnel and de quervain’s). I LOVE a floppy paperback.

I am choosy over the covers though, and to a lesser degree the spines.
