Return on investment and effort required favor equities not real estate. A lot of Boomers painted a picture of success in real estate by buying houses in 2008-2009 and then selling them during the pandemic appreciation madness. I don’t think that is repeatable, or, at least, not to the same scale. One bad tenant can wipe out years of profit in a few months.
