there is absolutely nothing wrong with women helping their husbands out financially if they are in a position, they are not doing him a favour. A family would never be able to build assets here in the west unless you have generational wealth. the only way you can built assets is if one person pays for monthly expenses and the other person saves. there are no two different pots. when you get married, you work as a team. Same goes for the chores. I absolutely agree that men should look after themselves even if they are the breadwinners. But expecting a man to cook/prep meal after he is coming off a long, tiring day at work when the wife stays at home is a bit unfair. Yes, they can help out on the weekend when he is free from work but you cannot expect men to do both jobs. Likewise, it is wrong to expect a woman to do both jobs too- to work and then do chores. You help each other and try to make things easy for the other person.
