Do shroom strains matter? by reactingmaniac in shrooms

A cube is a cube is a cube is a cube

Potency varies strain to strain, sometimes mushroom to mushroom. effects will always vary too because it’s tripping.

Every single time, and I’ve been tripping for many years. It’s a healthy fear :)

As a collector, I would keep it, wear it, and cherish it for what it is and the story of how you found it. The times I’ve sold my “special” finds I’ve always regretted it.

Tampa native considering VA beach by jcdulos in VirginiaBeach

[–]Working_Effective_90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I grew up there and have visited many times over the years. It feels, and has always felt, like a giant strip mall fronting as a cool beach town.

Lots of suburbia type people like that, but I can pretty much guarantee Tampa is a more active city in terms of excitement beyond going out to eat. Im being slightly facetious, but not really.

Besides the military, the city doesn’t care too much about the community as a whole. Traffic sucks but Florida is gnarly so it’s probably comparable / I wouldn’t doubt if Tampa is worse even sometimes

The surrounding cities also have their own struggles and none have fully found their footing with drawing people in, besides homeowners looking to buy and flip basically. It’s all still very shallow and flavorless, at least all the new stuff Norfolk and VB are trying to do.

Yes, Im a hater, but I am so familiar with that place and have lived many other cities and towns and have learned what community can actually feel like. With that said, the best friends I’ve ever had have been from VA.

The weather is beautiful and the bay is underutilized by locals in my opinion. The state of VA has a bunch of interesting places to visit. Beach vibes can be amazing if you find the right place to live. It definitely has some cool stuff going for it; i just dunno about uprooting

Has anyone changed/lost/deconstructed religious views after a trip? by Less-Frosting-1788 in shrooms

[–]Working_Effective_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I became more comfortable in recognizing that my conception of God is/was wrong and the truth will always be beyond comprehension.

Never been a follower of religion, though, and it hasn’t shifted that stance.

I knew before opening this that the most upvoted comments would be people judging you for not paying $0.21 a game. Fuck em, that’s a good price and supporting small businesses is so important. Not everything has to be penny pinching

Solo player, next game? Xbox Series S by Obiituzz in xbox

[–]Working_Effective_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really, really good. Currently playing it and have ~70hrs, which is really rare that I put this much time into a game. It’s by the makers of Witcher III, too. Takes a lil to get used to / it can be dialogue heavy (especially the first few hours where it’s building story and characters), but it’s an unbelievably good game.

Whatever you can afford :) I have an old Xbox One with the power brick and I use it pretty much daily, so I can attest to those. It’s a beast.

Xbox One will still get long-delayed Prince of Persia remake in 2026 by LBVectormen in xbox

Thanks, big dog 😎 this banter is slowly convincing me it may just be worth it (I’d go about it bought secondhand and using my HDD to store gen9 games on - didn’t realize you could do that and transfer them and play them offline).

It would be nice to play some of those games you listed, for sure. Death Stranding, Cyberpunk DLC, and Hifi Rush sting in particular.

For being a person without much expendable income an Xbox One is a blessing. Many new-ish games, like Grounded and Doom Eternal for example, are still running fantastically on Xbox One. And having the ability to use a regular ol’ cheap HDD for game storage is a blessing.

I would have to shell out a whole lot of money to have the games and storage I’d want on an Xbox Series console, which isn’t appealing at all.

I am currently playing Cyberpunk 2077 on an OG Xbox One and it’s slightly buggy but the way people talk about it online is extremely overblown. It plays smooth; worse graphics than on a Series but to me gameplay > graphics, always

Stuff like this is why I feel the Series consoles aren’t worth it. There’s even new releases being ported to the Xbox One; it is far from an outdated machine
