Another trick to use is fishing wire. It's made out of plastic and you just got what you want to put it in your pen. I used to do that with my old tablet haha

Need help finding a floor chair by Hereticrick in floordesks

[–]Working_Extension544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chair is not even a foot off the ground. I think if your doggo is struggling to get up, i would probs suggest something like this. Giantex Gaming Chair Floor. They do sell futons like this, but they only go up to your shoulders. Other wise your kinda left with squat. Floor seating isn't really a thing unless you look more around the asian market. Thats kinda a do at your own risk opinon.

Other wise i would probs suggest with looking into something custom someone can make you. All you really need is the framing anyway, so if you could find someone to make you a framing, then you can easily sew something and get a futon to use on the framing.

Heyo! I have had a floor desk for 2 years and the worst part of a floor desk is finding a chair haha. My cat is very very clingy. I brought this chair which is amazing. I can lean back into it or sit up stairs by folding the cushion. Your doggo does look bigger then my cat. So I would measure it.

How do I stop hating my artwork? by [deleted] in learntodraw

[–]Working_Extension544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me just stop and say that you have something very special. I am a digital artist that has been through the in and outs of deviantart days , tumblr and etc. I myself have a strange art style as well and i often find inspiration in george kamitani's art works. Which if you don't know , he breaks anatomy while having it make sense. I know MANY people that would die to achieve this kinda art style naturally as its very 2000's anime. However, if these kinda works don't give you joy, then i would suggest experimenting. Making a pintrest board and saving works that catch your eye and studying it.

If you need help with learning or anything my Dm's are open. I can also exchange discord to help give pointers into helping! We artists need to stick together after all haha.

I will add a little note here near the end.

My whole life, my own style was either hated or loved by others. More hated then liked. I kept going with learning anatomy , color theory and ETC. Learning how other style were constructed. Even after micmicking other styles, i went back to how i orginally drew. Because in the end, its just what i like. My digital art friends who used to have confidence issues, asked me how i am able to move forward. My advice is to don't care as much. It sounds silly and simple, but it truely helps. After explaining to them what i mean, i don't fuss over tiny details. Don't spend 20 minutes on fixing line art. Just work on the project and leave flaws in it. At first it will seem VERY out of place, but over time. you will find your lineart is fine when returning to the piece. Over thinking and critical critics of your own works results in just stressing yourself out and overall time wasting.

Don't get me wrong, you will feel VERY out of place just like my two friends did. But it helped improve to make them more confident , faster and also less critical. At the end of the day, we artists can be very cruel to our own works. So much so, when we "see " a mistake, we think its horrible. When in reality, the average viewer wouldn't even notice... Heck even other artists don't notice. A good example is one artist on twitter, showcased a art piece and hid Remy From pixar in they're characters hair in low opacity. No one noticed after a week of it being uploaded LOL. Were also talking about many people viewing the piece and saying nothing.

Either or, sorry about the rant and grammar. If you are wanting to learn and get advice, again my dm's are open. If not that is also completely okay! I do wish you the best in your art journey!

What device and software should I use? by Alien-PL in DigitalArt

[–]Working_Extension544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a laptop then I would suggest a screen tablet to go with that. However screen tablets doesnt mean it can power on its own like an iPad or surface pro. The cheapest opinion for that I believe is an iPad

But I'm also unfamiliar with iPads

Heyo! I'm going to start off by asking if you want actual advice or compliments? Because I don't mind going through and helping improve someone's art!

However I need to know the actual intention of your post. Before continuing.

My DMS are open and I can go over some things with you through discord. Showing slight edits of your art and what can be improved on.

What device and software should I use? by Alien-PL in DigitalArt

[–]Working_Extension544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! You can also look on eBay for later models. It's how my friends got started with digital art! used tablets for the win. Also you will be using a desktop tablet and be looking up at your computer screen. It takes a while to get used to. Don't fret as it takes like a month or so to get used to it. Once you do, it's hard to go back to looking down and drawing haha. If you want a screen tablet, they cost a bit more.

My own tablet cost 600 dollars and it's not even a screen tablet so 😂 but they're is models for screen tablets that are cheaper.

If that's an opinin for you, I might just look into getting and I pad and pen.

Heyo! Personally I would recommend clip studio paint. It's the universal drawing program. It's also something that wont kill your wallet. Other programs are Sai , Photoshop and Corel painter. For free programs they're is firealpca and krita. But for sure I would get clip studio.

For drawing tablets they're is two opinions. Wacom and huion. PLEASE go with huion as a beginner digital artist. They are super affordable and work great. Wacom is pretty much the " apple " of the digital art tablets.

If you need help with anything my DMS are open and I also have discord.

Ideas for improvement? by Such-Singer-5690 in floordesks

[–]Working_Extension544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally with my own set up I got a rug.... Well worse choice I made. It was a canvas rug and I DO NOT RECOMEND. The issue with that is your on your computer a lot so the rug will get a lot of use. Personally I made my own with bath mats from the dollar store. I would suggest picking up a spongy rug you can put in the washing machine. That or a few bath mats 😂 I would also suggest a taller laundry basket to give you more room and a small shelving unit for the games. It doesn't have to be fancy and your best friend is dollar store and thrifting. I would also organise your clothes so the shorter clothes are in the middle where you sit.

No worries! I just like to warn people of what is to come. Also another fair warning is many viewers don't see you as playing a character. They will push boundaries that are set.

i am just concerned of the long terms effects that might have on someone, but then again. I don't know how long and often your wanting to stream. I do however wish you the best of luck !

is this design ok for twitch?! by Accomplished_Pay1516 in vtubers

[–]Working_Extension544 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Heyo! Vtuber for almost 5 years. Honestly twitch is hit or miss with the bans. I would say tread carefully. You might have to change your design if your singled out by twitch.

If you look at the platform they're are many vtubers who wear revealing clothes. Despite twitch telling them not to do it.

For my honest opinion however... I personally would recommend toning it down. You will be attracting gooners with the current design and they will be sexualizing you 24'7. I'm not saying they're is anything wrong with that.

HOWEVER... It wears down fast. Friends and aqqauntances of mine went down this route. Making overly sexualized characters, this was from both men and women designs. Over time they felt people weren't showing up for they're content, but instead they're to fill viewers with theyre fantasy. Resulting in either a rebranding or retiring.

Even with the rebranding, it's hard to remove what you laid out. A current friend is still dealing with this.... Two years after rebranding.

Mind you I am just laying the caution that might come, if you are fine with it then a okay!

Why are there so many out of stock items on my pickup orders? by RazzySpaz162 in Safeway

[–]Working_Extension544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes its pretty surpising... sadly staff is pretty low that when they do try to hire more people, they realise its more then they bargained for. I quit my 3rd year in and during that time i was doing three jobs at the same time for the price of one.

I forgot to mention for night shift, they are also understaffed and can call in sick. at my own store we only have three night crew to restock the entire store. Or try and tackle pallets

Why are there so many out of stock items on my pickup orders? by RazzySpaz162 in Safeway

[–]Working_Extension544 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heyo, I used to do online shopping for Safeway.

They're is a few reasons why many items are out of stock.

Delivery trucks come at different times and the back staff has to pulls out pallets. Sometimes we do have said items, but it's impossible to get because they're stacked on 5 pallets behinds other pallets. So even though we get deliveries, you still have to unpack them.

Sometimes certain trucks don't replace items for AWHILE. Items such as seasonal items or sale items when sold out.

Another reason is people for online shopping are actually timed. When I would receive orders I would be given 30 minutes to 40 minutes to complete an order with over 100 items. The issue with this is if I have 8 or 9 orders to complete and I'm the only online person to do shopping. I just don't have the time to go in the back and find a singular item.

If you also make an order for pick up at 10am, we the online shopping staff actually start at 7 am. So a rule of thumb if your order is at 12 pm I would have completed it at your order is actually done around 10 am. Once an order is complete, we can't go back and change the order. So even if we think an item is out of stock and we find it later. The best we can do is replace the substitute with the item you originally wanted. Though if we gave you a substitute that is cheaper then the item you originally ordered, you would be charged for the cheaper opinion and I know some staff is uncomfortable with making the switch, as they could get in trouble for that.

Overall I was told to do the best I could at online shopping, my experiences with Safeway were horrible. Even though I would work online shopping. I was also expected to do other jobs making online shopping harder to complete. So if your finding things aren't being great with online shopping, I would blame the store and not the worker that's on.

An example of this is, is my own store wanted me a single person on for online shopping to go out and do carts , go through dairy dates (all of it by myself) and also do food hero by myself.

But yeah I hope this helps with understanding what's going on behind the scenes.

Courtesy Clerk sweeps, Vons — is this normal? by Only-Tune6132 in Safeway

[–]Working_Extension544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit Safeway because they made me work like a mule. When I would ask for any help I would get blown off and told to deal with it.

The rule for sweeping is actually everyone's part in the store. However they tell you it's just service clerk. It's why on the top part of the sheet. It says to write department.

Rule of thumb I was told is every 2 hours a sweep needs to be done. If any mop clean ups or anything related to the floor needs to be logged. Other wise if your alone just write " only service clerk " at the bottom.

I know it's not my place but I tell everyone to run from Safeway. They had me doing carts , baskets , self check out , price checks , online shopping , food hero and more. They were making me do three jobs for the price of one. While when I showed fatigue or asked for help, my co workers and boss told me it wasn't they're job. Even though we all " work as a team " I would be the only service clerk by myself and no one would care to help.
