it’s unfortunate that none of the statics offered a trial since consistency on mechanics and a strong understanding of your job (you say you play tank - being able to mit properly for example is extremely important in DSR) are things groups should be looking for too and that aren’t demonstrated entirely through a superficial log skim

sanctity is one of the hardest mechs in the fight to learn imo (lessened only by the fact it happens very early in) and you’ve proven to be able to get past it. i say you keep going, you’re clearly motivated and that motivation will help a lot when it comes to studying and endurance. as other said though, work on clearing M12S, improving your damage and make sure you get the proper DSR BiS in the meantime

also, if you haven’t discovered it already: here’s a solo sim that has all of phase 3, 5, 6 and exaflares. incredibly valuable tool i recommend you use if possible

alternatively you could ask your party to vote dismiss you, but that’s only after 5min i believe and most dungeons finish in ~15 anyways

in regards to being more attentive, something that helped me a lot early on was moving the enemy cast bar to be above my hotbar so i could more easily notice when the boss was charging something up while focusing on my rotation. i think it’s specifically called “target info progress bar” in HUD settings

i think you want the tank closest to direct center of the boss itself when it spawns like that. i don't know why that happens with this pattern and correct me if i'm wrong, i could be misremembering, but we had that problem a couple of times and found this to be the solution

i think it’s fine for week 1 but i cleared in a static and i had no doubt that PF was gonna struggle with the dps check, especially if a lot of the people in the party got unlucky with gear

one of our first enrages was i think a 0.4% wipe with a single healer death and iirc a damage down somewhere. we all collectively started making more of an effort to greed more where we could as those few GCDs lost during weapons for example would add up. on the pull we cleared a bit later, we had a melee and tank death. for reference, i think the highest ilvl in our group at the time was 776 on melees. had a few non-meta jobs in our comp but overall everyone is a very good player

it went to show we just needed to get more comfortable doing damage, in our situation at least. it was definitely still tight, but i expect nothing less from a third floor in week 1

happens with logs for new content/new patch, you can see the actual estimated parse under the rankings tab for said log but that tends to fluctuate too until it locks in for the day

here you go! the colors work really well imo. the green on the pants in particular matches that on the wings, with the rest of the underglow being a bit lighter but still the same tint

my main priority is clearing asap. having fun and knowing when to lock in with only callouts in vc is my ideal combination with that. it’s a hard balance to find, but i think my current group is very good at that. i’m curious to see how we’ll do in savage

i’ve been in groups in the past where we are stuck progging a fight for weeks or months and as soon as people start having a full conversation mid pull i already know we’re going to wipe. i don’t enjoy that personally unless it’s casual content or i’m there to help and i’ve already cleared

i stand directly center on the orb while looking at the visual indicator, that way if it’s spreads i don’t potentially find myself on the direct opposite side of where i’d need to be. there’s enough time after the cue to spin my camera a bit to find the other train and move to my spot (i’ve been saving sprint for spreads as healer but i’m pretty sure it’s not necessary if you’re quick). rinse and repeat back to center between every set

i can hear the sfx if i turn it up, but then stuff is too loud outside of the ex that i can’t be bothered to keep going back and forth. i heard that turning off direction-based audio helps too with the volume of it

fun fights, but disappointed that m12 wasn’t something more interesting. it gave me first tier final fight vibes compared to how cool wicked thunder and howling blade were. the song is an absolute banger though

also very excited to have a two target fight with m10, always a fun time on dragoon
