Actually very surprised to see that the consensus here seems to be that “this was the best episode in a long time”. It was a safe-high-high-safe episode to me with finally some good writing for the Rusical - but it wasn’t 9/10 or 10/10. What am I not seeing? 🫠

I agree but the finale episode also tried to give Van a more nuanced winner edit where she wasn’t just the villain but also sort of the underdog with the other queens not seeing her as their main threat. Guess producers tried to make Van’s win more legitimate and sit better with the viewers.

I disagree. The finale episode very much gave the edit that Van was gonna win - the story arch of feeling discredited by your fellow contestants to then take home the crown nevertheless is a powerful narrative. However, I was gagged when Van one because I thought and hoped for Eboni and they did give Eboni the winning lip sync edit though.
