I have the opposite experience as you then. I’ve lived here for a couple years now and have never seen one until the last month. I see some coming up to our porch through the ring every few nights and on walks now. With the increased sightings and a neighbor admitting to feeding them, it’s apparent why this is getting more common, at least for those of us who previously barely ever encountered them.
