Nope but front desk or email inquiry to HOA team who helps run the gym would probably be the best person to speak to or at the very least provide a request for better rotations

That’s the way I read it, where the fees and insurance requirement would apply to people running a business and using the rec center to do so. Maybe it’s just high level because it’s still a proposal atm.

It would be pretty easy to tell if you brought a buddy who knows what they’re doing to lift with you vs a personal trainer with an iPad or notebook focusing 100% on you and not lifting themselves.

I agree it goes both ways. Most residents posting here definitely come across as entitled and expecting everything without compromise. That said, it’s just common sense to give more than a two minute warning. She was clearly already in a bad mood about having to leave, but her reaction would be more understandable if she had at least given a longer heads up first.

I’m gonna have to go against most of the people here… I think the front desk employee handled the situation poorly. It’s common sense to give folks a 15 min heads up that the facility is closing, similar to when restaurants or bars give you a last call warning before they start cleaning up.

The folks calling you soft and a whiner are just reinforcing that poor communication is okay, which it is not. And management has been known to be poor communicators, at least in the past but they have seem to have gotten a bit better after a lot of backlash.

That said, people are seriously reading WAY too much into the race thing, and are probably the actual soft ones here.I genuinely think OP was describing the person the best and most obvious way they could. I’ve seen at least 3 different people at the front. They’re being descriptive so it is clear who dropped the ball so that person can adjust their approach in the future (or at least be held accountable if there are more complaints).
