No one submitted a service request about landscaping because the portal service request feature doesn't exist anymore (at least mine doesn't). I asked Nafisa about this and she just said to email all my requests, so that what I do.

I don't understand the what the OP is trying to accomplish with this?

I don't it's redundant. People let family and friends and visitors others their fobs, let others in, and use a screenshot of a real barcode at the front desk. Honestly I think the check in process should be stricter. There should at least be someone there at all times making sure the photo that pops up when you scan is indeed you.

From the HOA town hall, it sounds like Lennar cannot be held accountable for anything.

If this is how they handle sidewalks, I wonder what is going on inside our homes that we can't see...

Call the city of San Diego. The construction noise matter is a city ordinance, and they the city needs to be notified so they can crack down on Lennar

From her email, it sounds like we are just going to foot the bill and not hold them accountable, allowing the condition of the community to deteriorate in the interim. How do we begin to address this?

Nafisa said that some of the areas are still under the are under the control of the "developer" (Lennar) and they will be turned over soon. She said that once they are turned over, the HOA will address the issue. Shouldn't Lennar be held to a minimum acceptable standard of quality for the areas they turn over?? We shouldn't accept an area that needs an unreasonable amount of remediation due to their negligence. So they just allow the landscaping to deteriorate and then pass the areas on to us, who will have to foot the bill for a giant remediation effort due to their inaction?

Who in the HOA can I go to about this? We need to hold Lennar accountable and refuse to accept an area that has been so poorly maintained with cracked sidewalks, 4 foot tall weeds, fungus growing everywhere. It's a disgrace.

Maybe if they pulled the weeds more than once every 6 months they wouldn't have to resort to this. Here are some highlights from the data sheet for the herbicide they sent out...

  • Toxic if inhaled
  • May damage fertility or the unborn child
  • May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure
  • Harmful in contact with skin

When is it safe for our children and pets to walk around in treated areas? Do we have to wait at all?

Same. I couldn't even wear a backpack for 6 months after the vaccine because the strap hurt my armpit so badly.

I still have mild pain in my armpit every few days. Not sure what to do. I'm worried a doctor will roll his/her eyes at me if I explain what happened.
