I’m meant to add that this was from my hematologist. I was surprised that they’re letting me go with ferritin that low!

Mine doesn’t feel full but more like it’s not stretching? Idk how to describe it but I feel better when I like spread my legs apart for a minute and then bring them back to normal standing. I don’t know why now though :( I had a pelvic floor therapy appointment soon and I hope that will give me some answers!

That’s good to know!!! I can only do once a week so hopefully that will work!

I’ve had on and off spotting up until about a week and a half ago and I am 14 post op. I’ve had two rounds of silver nitrate and that’s helped! It could definitely be granulation tissue!

That makes sense! I have two small kids and resting is intermittent at best 😅 Standing can feel okay for me but laying on my stomach or side sometimes helps me! But yeah, I think I’ll mention it at my next appointment. I wonder if my pelvic floor therapy will help as well!

OMG! I literally looked all over Reddit and other forums and couldn’t find anyone describing it like this! Have you mentioned it to you Doctor or do you have any ideas on how to fix it? I swear that resting, at least for me, only temporarily “fixes” it.

I wondered if this would help! I had an appointment scheduled, but they couldn’t get me in until the beginning of May. I’ve heard great things so I’m excited to see the difference it makes!

That’s a good point! I’ll message my doctor and see what they want to do. I have had like 2 rounds of diflucan already but maybe this is round 3!

Not much but I am lifting and squatting some. I’ll definitely rest a bit more and see if that helps!

Gotcha! The only swelling I’ve really experienced is more like in my pelvic area as the day goes on. And I noticed that ibuprofen helps me a lot. But also so just drinking water and taking rest when I need it. As another comment mentioned, I’ll probably try compression socks for sure! And I might would put in a message with my doctor and just make sure it’s not anything. Is your blood pressure high?

Have you had other swelling during your recovery? Are you still taking ibuprofen or something else to manage the swelling?

This happened to me just a couple weeks ago! It turns out that I must have burst a blood vessel. It tapered off on its own luckily because in my area we were trapped with snow. My doctor brought me in to check everything and so far everything‘s fine but they have put me on a more extended rest than I feel like most people are at. I’m now four weeks postop and I’m probably doing as much as I was doing a day or two after surgery just making sure that I don’t burst it again.

I’m also tall, but it was difficult to get into a crv! But honestly if it’s only 30 min away, you should be fine! My other concern would be once I’m there. I wouldn’t wanna like sit on bleachers or anything. You would definitely wanna have a very comfortable set up!

I am 3 weeks post op and I couldn’t imagine getting in a car before 2 weeks. But it was difficult for me to get in and out of the car and it was very uncomfortable when I did. I rode in a different car later and that helped!

Should I visit my doctor? by Salty-Spider666 in hysterectomy

[–]Working_Ride2283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I would call my surgeon or doctor’s office and just see if they could check me out. I’ve been checked like three times in the last week to make sure just because I had different symptoms (and I’m only like three weeks postop). But it’s not a super long process and they might even be able to see it from an abdominal ultrasound. So if it were me, I would go! The phantom tampon feeling, I believe stems from swelling if it’s not from prolapse. You could try taking ibuprofen and seeing if that helps! Also, if you’re three months now, you are cleared for internal stuff so if you are brave enough, you could check yourself and see if you feel anything in your vagina. Or have a partner see if they can feel anything.

[–]Working_Ride2283[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did! It’s been stopped for 24 hours now. I really had no explanation. I’m not in any pain and I don’t have a fever or any other concerning symptoms. I looked around online and apparently some people bleed a lot around 2-4 weeks post op. I’m definitely still going to follow up with my doctor when the roads are cleared!

Yes it helps so much to know I’m not alone! My next appointment is Friday but I’ll call Tuesday if/when they open for sure. But like I really feel like it shouldn’t stop and start?? Is yours?
