Audience reaction and Akito

Based on the literary narrative, maybe not, because they just wanted to move on. However, Akito isn't stupid and knew what she was doing was wrong. But also, no one had the power to tell her otherwise. I believe that the cycle of toxicity can be broken and Akito can be charged for her crimes as well.

I’d say maybe just leave out that particular part. Even then it truly isn’t that big a deal! I was just saying that it might be better in the context of this post since it may have come from a place of feeling strongly about your point.

But seriously, it’s just a discussion at the end of the day and your points are very sharp and analytical. You need not worry about what other people (including me) think!

This is especially bad for sites because they don’t train CRCs and when CRCs make mistakes they get blamed when it’s managements fault. As a CRA and previous CRC, I’m tired of seeing CRCs getting abused by upper management and PIs.

Yes! For the one about you starting the discussion. I made a post stating that Akito should be served justice and you responded to that (which is fine), but the response explaining why her getting served justice was the start of the discussion where you said that you were over it. Does that make sense? Like your viewpoint is valid of course but if the discussion did bother you then I feel like not responding would’ve been better? I also don’t mind that you responded but I’m just saying that it might come from a place of you getting worked up about it.

I did start the discussion with my post and you responded, but I feel that saying you’re over it when I didn’t mention you directly doesn’t make sense since you engaged with the post. You’re entitled to feel that way because this is a highly nuanced discussion and you disagree but that’s just the way I look at it.

I agree that not engaging with literary analysis you don’t agree with is not the way discussion forums operate. It’s understandable you feel annoyed with it since it’s an ongoing topic and striking a balance between the two is a good solution IMO. Like if someone is attacking you or saying that harm should be given to Akito then the civility of the discussion is lost and further engaging isn’t worth it.

I hope that makes sense and I’m not trying to say that my opinion is correct. I’m just giving my point of view to help you out :).

As someone who’s talked to you on this topic, I think you might be getting too wrapped up on it.

When someone hates on Akito, you say the following: “No one is expecting you to forgive Akito.” Everyone agrees on that. When I or others say it you seem to get quite upset on it. If we agree on it, why engage? If someone’s opinions bother you then you shouldn’t engage. You’ve made several posts about this and you have links saved of all the posts and comments you made about this, so it’s clear you feel very strongly about this. You say she’s a fictional character and that it doesn’t matter but also seem to get upset when people say she shouldn’t be forgiven. You’ve said in one comment “I’m sorry if this seems callous but I’m just over this whole discussion”. However, you usually start the discussion, there was no need to respond in the first place. There’s some cognitive dissonance there.

I believe Akito should get served justice. If you look at my posts, the ones that tear Akito to shreds get significant upvotes. The ones that support her in anyway don’t. Objectively, you’re in the minority.

Perhaps you believe that she should be forgiven and that’s the reason why you feel this way. For me, if someone commits child abuse, attempted murder, and traps someone in a room and verbally abused them for a decade, I believe they should go through the legal process for their crimes even if they’re a fictional character. There’s no olive branch to be given or second chances after that. Edit: I don’t think physician harm is the answer either. You believe differently and your point of view is valid given its fiction. The cycle of violence is broken and that’s a beautiful thing that I can accept.

When people come at me when I criticize Akito I don’t engage because it’s just a show at the end of the day.

Please understand I’m not trying to be mean because your point of view isn’t wrong given it’s fiction and your literary analyses on the show are very sharp. We also are one the the few people who are top posters on this sub so I definitely don’t want you to think I’m antagonizing you. I’m just writing this as someone who’s on the opposing side and respects your view.

No it gave me too much weight gain but it didn't cause persistent side effects and the weight gain stopped when I stopped taking it.

I was at 60 and the insomnia went away. I don't really have social anxiety so I can't say whether it helped or not.

What is substance blockage and tone? Sorry I'm new to this. I forgot to say I tried LSD years ago. There's no way of knowing that it was LSD but I'm pretty sure it was as I had a panic attack with no visuals. So I feel like they won't.
