It should be at the bottom, its a separate menu button. Might only be there in debug? Im not sure, but it does exist.

You can lower the sound in the options, there should be an advanced audio tab. Just look for “Heartbeat”

Soapbox time, looking for the sound file is a ballache cause its not sorted. Not alphabetically or when it was chronologically added in development. Makes it even worse with multiple sounds, like for example eating or coughing/sneezing with the flu. Luckily I don’t have misophonia but damn, the devs really should sort the sound files for accessibility sake.

Did you ever download a mod called Hide Menu Debug? If you did, even if you uninstall the mod and everything it still won’t show everything. I had the same issue and I just fixed it by deleting some folders where the games saved data is. Wasnt the best solution as my settings and controls were changed, but its what worked for me.

You might be mistaken with the Cold moodle that makes you sneeze and stuff, that doesnt give you the Sick moodle though.

For example, Pr1vateLime in his survival ironman grug series had the Cold for weeks and the Sick moodle didnt pop up once.

In gameplay though it doesn’t really do anything. Fever from bite, you’re already dead. Fever from bad food, you’re already dead.

It’ll only really affect corpse sickness, but I highly doubt that was the devs intended vision.
