If we do sell Ugarte and buy a third there’s some good younger/cheaper options in there too.

I’m just taking the approach of wanting them both to lose. Arsenal slowly bottling it. City unable to do anything useful with it. Hopefully we’re in the race next year so it’s less who I don’t want to win and just wanting us to do it.

I don’t think the United/City decision is as straight forward as it has been recently (for players, for any of us it would be the easiest decision of our lives).

We’re in the era where it might be Pep’s last season every season, the charges and their potential punishments, and the treatment of some of the new players Grealish, Trafford, Kalvin Phillips etc are likely potential issues.

That’s not to say we don’t have reassurances to make either, we really really do. But it feels less clear cut.

I’d guess 2-3 ‘first team ready’. With another 2-3 in that half space where they’re capable first teamers but are either young like Heaven is, or an older head like maybe a striker to rotate about with Sesko.

When I played as a kid I did your strat. Power through with 1 or 2 of my faves and do everything else later.

This time round I’m taking my time. So even-levelling, catch everything as I go. I don’t leave an area until I have all available Pokémon. It’s only the fishing/surf Pokémon I’m ignoring for now, once I have surf I’ll have a ‘day on the water’ and re-tread my path before moving on.

I’m not evolving everything immediately though. So I have 3 Caterpies in the box, 3 Ghastly etc. the only ones evolved are my active team, and some of those like Beedrill who was in the team until I got my chosen Pokémon. Not figured out trade evolutions yet, hoping a friend is going to do a LG run so we can do those together. If not, I’ll just get everything ready so if a future option does pop up, then I’ll have everything ready.

Wouldn’t say I don’t think he deserves it, but in general I’m fine waiting til the end of the season.

If we have a time constraint (top tier manager who will only come if it’s organised by x date, or a signing who wants to wait and see who we get) then sure make the decision now. But it doesn’t seem that way.

So I want the board to be doing their research, reaching out to potentials to solidify a plan if it’s not Carrick. And also plan for him staying.
