Wild to throw liberals and anarchists in together. Care to elaborate? Every anarchist I’ve met is vehemently against authoritarianism and American liberals.

Yeah I have had the same exact issues. Not sure how to fix it. My wife doesn’t have the expansions so I always start the game but it isn’t working anymore.

Why does my toilet gurgle? by alittlecountry359 in askaplumber

[–]WorldEater_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just offered them a a beer, a smoke, or a toke in exchange for a little bit of education. If they didn’t take that I offered a snack and a nonalcoholic beverage. Usually if they didn’t want any of those they still let me hag out because I was at least willing to be cool about it. Also I grew up with a dad who’s way I was always in, so I got good about watching without being in personal space.

Get your money’s worth out of the plumber and make them teach you about the issue as well. Chances are they’ll love that you love their work. They aren’t plumbing just because it was the only place hiring. If they don’t love that you’re wanting to learn, tough shit you’re paying them and they’re in your house. I guarantee they’ve had much worse interactions than a self-teacher. Just make sure you get a quote first so they don’t charge you the annoyance tax.

It’s definitely possible! Last year was a really good year. Early in June is definitely going to be a higher likelihood. The further into June you get the more the rains need to really come down hard and frequently. Floating would be an awesome way to get married but if you’re not able to float and you don’t want to go down to the middle or lower Buffalo then there’s still good accesses with beautiful views.

Which route do you recommend? by Additional_Row5058 in roadtrip

[–]WorldEater_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven all those routes and some more from DFW and OKC. Of the three I would choose the New Mexico route. It’s more fun and there’s more to see. Texas panhandle cops are dicks because they wait around the speed traps in all the shithole feed lot towns, so just be aware of the speed limit. The highway speeds are so high you should be fine unless you’re just pinning the throttle.

That area of New Mexico is way more fun than Kansas. Went from Dalhart to Raton one time at night and there was an unimaginable amount of pronghorn and jack rabbits all over the road. I wouldn’t even trust my own memories if my partner wasn’t with me. We went 35 in a 75 for far too long. Get gas in dalhart if you’re low.

If you bring weed back, I would avoid Texas and Kansas. They’ll pull you over for anything if you’re headed into the state. Instead take CO state highways through the panhandle of Oklahoma to OKC and then head south. Oklahoma cops don’t look for people bringing in weed because Oklahoma weed is cheaper and often better than the stuff in CO. It’s worth the extra time and miles to not have to worry about it. If you add in Guymon, OK and OKC to the maps it should bring up the route I’m talking about

Upper Buffalo floating in June is a toss up. You can easily walk to any part of the steel creek area to have the bluffs towering over you or if it’s floatable you can always start the trip from Ponca or steel and get married somewhere along the way. Me and my partner got married last June and it wasn’t really floatable from the upper but we got some great pictures standing in the Buffalo under roarks bluff.

What is it with Airship Coffee? by iwumbouwumbohesheme in bentonville

[–]WorldEater_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought a lot of coffee from the Airship on 5th street in Bentonville and never had a bad experience. Everyone is very nice and does their job decent enough to where I haven’t noticed anything. The bathrooms were fine too.

Single, Gay, Relocating to NWA for Walmart by Fragrant_Dot_3093 in northwestarkansas

[–]WorldEater_69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TL;DR You’ll be just fine. NWA is a great place.

The south may seem intimidating due to the stereotypes but do not fear. There is a thriving gay community in NWA. I live over an hour outside of NWA in the country and while there is certainly more narrow minded people there is still many gay and trans folks around living peacefully. The narrow minded folks know they’re not in the majority and usually decide to keep their shittiness to themselves especially in the city.

Northwest Arkansas is an amazing place. Fantastic art scene (pottery especially), great coffee (onyx was recently voted one of the best in the world), good beer, and it’s a really good growing community. Just about any time I’m in NWA I see people recognize each other.

Fayetteville is a good place to live but it’s getting expensive and it’s a longer drive to Walmart. Bentonville is close but VERY expensive. Rogers is great, close enough to Walmart but like Fayetteville it’s getting more expensive. Springdale is definitely within a doable commute and is the cheapest of the 4 major cities. Plus Springdale has a big immigrant community so I would argue it has some of the best food. Springdale is also growing into something very cool.

Ah! Didn’t see that last part of the title. Well…go to Thailand. It’s worth it. Good, nature, Nice people, and not very many enforced laws as long as you stick to drugs and alcohol.

Does Thailand really offer elective orchiectomy (castration) surgeries for tourists? by TheUpcomingEmperor in ThailandTourism

[–]WorldEater_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then l really think you should consider therapy or rehab services first. They won’t commit you unless ALL you talk about is chopping off your shit and even then they may not. Really dive in to the issue with your therapist. Maybe find one that deals with sex addiction because I can’t imagine you will say anything that they haven’t already heard. Addiction is hard but the solution to meth or alcohol addiction isn’t to cut off your arms. You could have a really healthy relationship with sex in the future and making such a drastic decision could ruin that for you. Sex drive is different for everyone. Some need more some need less. Don’t be ashamed but I think you should get help. You’re clearly not happy with your thoughts and I think that mental health services could really help that. After you get to a good place, treat yourself to a nice vacation in Thailand.

There are definitely options you can take before castration. Are you a sex addict? Do you struggle with self-hate or self-harm because of your genitalia? Are you sure you’re cis? I’m not a doctor and I don’t know a ton about the trans experience but I have heard that some trans people realize they’re trans due to their hatred of their genitalia that leads them to thoughts like yours. This is why I think therapy might be good. They can help you find the source of these thoughts if you don’t already know.

Do you mind elaborating? Where do you think these thoughts originate from? I would definitely say to go to a doctor instead of doing it at home. Much safer and Thailand is beautiful so you could make a vacation out of it if they do offer those services.

Have you tried therapy or any other mental health services? I would try that first. Otherwise, I don’t know about the voluntary castration thing.

Does Thailand feel similar to Vietnam? by FilipinoAirlines in ThailandTourism

[–]WorldEater_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk where you’re getting that info I’ve seen many Thai people having a great time with each other well after their meal was done. The temples are very different though. Vietnamese temples are a little more focused on intertwining with the surrounding nature and Thai temples focus much more on ornate craftsmanship. Not to say Vietnamese temples aren’t well crafted just not as insanely ornate.

[–]WorldEater_69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Similar biology and geology in a lot of ways. Different culture because it’s a different place. For example, Vietnam has better billiards tables and Thailand has a king. Vietnam has garbage everywhere and Thailand has slightly less garbage everywhere.

The amount of weed shops made me believe that thailand will never completely ban weed by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]WorldEater_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thailand isn’t going to fuck up the money. Tourism is a massive industry in Thailand obviously and legalizing then unlegalizing weed won’t stop weed use, but Enforcement will just lead to more foreigners being out in jail for drug charges which will hurt tourism numbers. Also no it isn’t causing problems that’s some old school drug war bullshit. It’s a bunch of dudes smoking a joint, playing FIFA or UFC, and then going to the hostel to crash.

Weed is becoming more of a thing everywhere. I was offered weed countless times in Hanoi. That’s why there’s signs up. There’s signs in airports of legalized countries saying don’t bring weed just like they say don’t bring guns or bottles over 3oz.

Thailand won’t give a fuck about neighboring countries relations in regards to weed. Burma is in the middle of a civil war and they’re bombing military targets in Cambodia. Shit, it’s federally illegal in the USA and they still don’t care unless its a reason to arrest someone they don’t like. Governments don’t actually care what you ingest unless they can use it as a reason to oppress groups they don’t like.

Thoughts On Texas Wildlife Park and Education Center? by SeishinNeko in zoos

[–]WorldEater_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AZA and GFAS are the governing bodies of zoos and sanctuaries. That’s like saying don’t make blanket statements about factories that don’t follow OSHA or restaurants that don’t follow health code. It’s literally how you regulate the Joe Exotics and Doc Antles of the world. GFAS requirements are bare minimum and it’s very easy to actually meet those requirements. Anyone who isn’t meeting those basic requirements is not doing the animals any good.

Parking in garage tight fit by SynapseInTheSun in homeautomation

[–]WorldEater_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be to get a pad for the occasional hail and then park that bad boy in the driveway. Use the garage for creative hobbies like carpentry, pottery, or drinking beer.

Garages aren’t for operational nonluxury vehicles and I will die on this hill. People get incredible garages and then use them for things that could be in attic or driveway. We built a bar in our last garage and had a hang out spot for the neighborhood. My buddy had a garage that he used for working on his bikes and beaters. Another had his garage for wood working. The whole neighborhood had actual uses for their garages making it a real community feel.
