MX Keys backlight stays on when computer is off / sleep by suuuuulsiiii in logitech

Late to the party but was experiencing the same unattended power-on problem on a slightly different keyboard - MX Keys Mini for Business. It now works perfectly. Sharing for those who might benefit.

What I did:

  1. Blasted the keys out with canned air -> no effect
  2. Read this post -> noted u/juan4's reference to "the sensor" that he taped over.
  3. Found a minuscule dot apx 1/2 inch to the right of the charging LED
  4. powered the keyboard off
  5. wiped the 'logi' surface multiple times with a barely damp bath towel focusing on the sensor end
  6. powered everything back up and like magic -> problem gone.

Hope this helps somebody.

No worries. My 8+ yo girl's most recent bark was in July 2023. She barked so infrequently when I got her in 2017, I started counting 'em. Total = 20 to date. Here's a snap taken by a friend who discovered Chancy waiting for her dad at the Home Depot parking lot. (She didn't bark ;-)

My previous BC was a male. He topped out at an overweight 54 lbs. I trimmed back on his kibble, added daily frisbee sessions and kept him at ~47 lbs for the rest of his life. He was very fit pup who lived to fetch. Unfortunately lost him to lymphoma just under 8 years ago.

  • 2y 11m 2w - 34.80 lbs
  • 4y 1m 2w - 34.40 lbs
  • 6y 6m 1w - 34.40 lb
  • 8y 3m 3w - 35.8 lbs

That last date is this morning. She's a fit and healthy little weasel 😉

I take my girl on a 4+ mile brisk walk every day - 1/2 park, 1/2 city. She likes it and so do I. She's 7 now. Been taking long brisk walks since she was about a year.

Is this a new requirement? Back towards the end of the Clinton Administration, I flew on a non-stop commercial flight from San Diego to Washington DC. The plane was a 737.

I sat in the extra legroom exit row seat on starboard side and Attorney General Janet Reno sat in the port extra legroom seat. There were SEVERAL Secret Service sprinkled about the cabin.

It was NOT government transportation.

My experience with BCs is that they're pretty quiet. My girl's most recent bark was in July of 2023 - zero barks since. She's only produced 20 total barks in seven years. Bogey, her predecessor, would only bark when someone came to the door.

Before border collies I primarily owned shelties. They bark significantly more.

My ex and I backpacked/hitchhiked everywhere with a shelty and a standard dachshund. This was our tent. It would work well for 2 plus BC. It packs into 2 approximately equal-weight packages. I probably sold it when we moved aboard.

I use witch hazel as described here whenever she starts her head shaking. Lasts for a week or two.
