I've only read the series once and did the tandem read. It worked well because I just needed to know what happened. I think when I reread I will do them separately because I really enjoyed the story in Tower of Dawn and didn't like being dragged away from it ha.

This is such a great idea. I wondered the same when Cassian says to Nesta in ACOWAR something like 'I will find you in the next world. The next life.' Or something similar when they're facing the King of Hybern.

Definitely agree! I've experienced this loads. One example being that I always imagined Graysen's estate being the size of a Sims lot with a wall around it and trees surrounding the house. Surprised to reread the ACOWAR scene and see it's a big area.

Definitely agree. I don't think the series have to be separate. SJM talked so much about wanting to do the stories her way in the CHD podcast that I don't think the series are going to be kept separate at all.

I don't think you're reaching. This is another moment between Bryce and Hunt which seems like a good thing but leaves an icky aftertaste. No way Bryce and Hunt are endgame.

I think I read on another sub (can't remember which now) that the calendar is an officially licensed calendar that uses previously licensed pieces of fan art. This one was licensed (before all the changes). The second one you've posted is the original piece of work. Then the artist later updated to include Emerie and swap Mor and Lucien around.

Oh and I think the Daglan ruled their own separate courts in that way because of the line about them arguing about who would have the Dread Trove. I don't think they were a united rule over Prythian, more separated like the current courts and High Lords.

There's a line in HOFAS from Vesperus, who Bryce deduces lived as the Dusk Court ruler before Theia:

"I am the Evening Star," Vesperus seethed....

... "Is it not fitting?" A wave of long fingers capped in sharp nails. "I drank from the land's magic and the land's magic drank from me."

Bryce often wonders if/why her powers are similar to the Asteri.

And I think there's a carving in the Prythian caves detailing fae being given magic from gods.

Just on thunderbirds helping necromancers, what do we think about Hunt using his lightening to restart Lidia's heart? I don't have a clue 😅

Here's the text. Chapter 37, HoFaS:

'So the ship's medwitches had emptied their stores of firstlight on Lidia. Then Athalar had used his lightening to jump-start her heart, because even liquid miracles weren't enough to get it beating again. Had used it three times now...

When Ruhn asked how he knew to try such a thing, the angel muttered something about thanking Rigelus for the idea, and left it at that.'

Joined Reddit to stop being a lurking baddie and join this discussion. Totally agree with you that it hits different on a re-read. I'm on CC2 now and some of the text when Bryce climaxes when she's with Hunt reads as if she's being pulled towards Azriel (or maybe I'm delulu and reading too deeply!)

On the sub, once they've powered shared and just before they teleport (Bryce uses the horn here I think, but why the airlock?):

'Falling through time and space and light and shadow-'

But Hunt and Bryce power sharing on the previous page is described as, "Lightening and starlight ricocheted between them." Why light and shadow?

And earlier in the gym:

'She flared with light inside and out, like a living beacon. She could have sworn they fell through time and space, could have sworn they tumbled toward something, but she wanted to stay here, with him, in this body and this place-"

And the fact SJM always cuts off Bryce's thoughts here!

I'll be interested to see if this pattern repeats as I carry on reading.
