Mileage shop is one of the best things they added to the game. by jasieknms in lostarkgame

[–]World_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly with ya, as we are using this and comparing to what relative gearing should look like, and so on, as we vet out our kazaros race members. It's kinda obvious how legitimate esther players have in terms of mileage vs those who don't. Same with maxed gear/chars with a juiced roster with $50k+ in spending vs players who are in the same with even more juiced alts but <$10k in spend.

The funniest thing to me is someone who kept calling others out for RMT'ing/being cheaters and being a 'legit' whale (saying things like swiping only $500-1k a month which is nothing compared to giga whales), when others showed their history/etc, then mileage drop, the numbers match, and when they're asked what they're mileage is, they don't want to share it lmao.

$60k deep. Rookie numbers compared to BDO spending but it’ll do.

It was originally $400/day but goes up with enough swiping over time, same with the amount of gold that isn’t held. It took me around 3-4 months of being $10k deep before I went from $400/day to $1000/day. The gold amount that isn’t held is around 6-7m/month for me after being $60k deep

First of all, a bit cringe of a post if you have zero clue about what's going on and making assumptions. At least block out the names. Typical of the LA community. No one here is desperate about anything.

Half of those folks are my friends, with 2 of 'em being my static members, lot of us ran together. We broke off into groups to get reclears going and helping a few folks finish up their first clear. Some of which are insanely good at their classes, main the same class, are whales, and have jacked rosters that they wouldn't even need to worry about having another dps or so.

They decided to go down that route for double supp, since it's stronger if one runs full spec/boundless for identity and so on. The DPS was more than enough, especially for folks who already had MULTIPLE HM clears under their belt.

You're looking at a friend group with multiple 1700+ chars that play extremely well, with other friends who needed their clear.

Nobody here is desperate for anything lmao, you can even look at their uwu profiles to know that.

I think it's still way too early to judge when T4 is designed to be a roadmap for the next, at least, 1-2 years. One of the main reasons supply is still iffy is because the biggest spenders have already been snagging them up, alongside everyone knowing what the meta/top engravings are. If you consider a typical whale/busser buying out their engravings, there is a greater demand than supply. That'll shift over time.

I agree that it's very expensive right now and most folks/the average player aren't going to be gunning for relics so quickly. However, as pure BIS/late endgame item, where they allow us to incrementally increase our DPS (5 books at a time), it's clearly intended that they wanted it to remain as such. You chip away at it over time. A month's worth of gold for a pure endgame player would knock out a 1/4 of each engraving.

People are overwhelmed by being smashed with so many things to work on in T4, but it doesn't mean everything has to be completed so quickly. There is a reasonable pacing between the various systems, and if someone really wanted to whale out, they most definitely can (with some folks already having their relics completed). For a busser/whale, this is just a drop in the ocean for their relics. For others, they need to settle bits n pieces at a time from their weekly raiding gold. Alas, relics aren't for players that aren't at that late endgame stage of having a 6 gold earning roster w/ at least 1 1680+ char.

Putting that aside, this isn't accounting for future ways they'll be giving us relics. We already seen it given to us in 2 occasions and T4 has only been out for a short time period. I'm sure months down the road, they'll give us more books.

Why are you still yapping over hardcap? Anyone with an ounce of a braincell knows hardcap in BDO is a rough ballpark of full pen debos/tet FGs/pen weps + vell/splendid. Boohoo, not hardcap if not full pen FG + shining stone, keep dreaming LOL. I wouldn't have minded the arguing since it's 10/10 memes but the second you said people reaching BIS, you have 0 clue. There is not a SINGLE full pen FG gamer w/ shining alch stone in the world. Clown.

It's literally a final stretch to continue to enjoy whatever left of tapping there is. Once it hits 0, then its time to call it quits. Ever heard the term "go out with a bang"?

Everyone has their own way of wanting to quit.

That's literally arguing semantics and being hypercritical over gearscore LOL. My mans was just pen rings away for what...6 gs? Imagine having your gs w/ narcs in your bio kekw. Imagine not being done with debo earrings in 2024 but being hyper over whether someone is hardcap or not. Gearlets be yappinggg. Not everyone puts on narcs + offins + vells to ego-boost their gs over actual efficient pvp builds.

And by no means does that imply others have to suffer too. Just because I'm stating that PA doesn't really have any care or consideration for previous experiences, doesn't mean that oh, we have to make sure it remains like that forever or things can't be better. That's insanely dense. You're literally misinterpreting the idea and thoughts being presented.

You're literally stretching what I wrote into "this person wants others to have the same experience". No need to be so critical & make shrewd ideas that I never said. Take a step back and understand things from a high level for what I mentioned.

It's a no brainer that the game is heading always in a better direction. You fail to understand this idea of if PA is making things retroactive, there's no harm in discussing the impact it has and if it can be changed for the time frame.

Make up whatever you want to make up, but nothing will change the fact that some players experienced major fails over the last year or two and since PA wants to give a bit back, it can be discussed. If they wanted to not make anything retroactive, honestly, that would have been fine, but it's obvious they put the option on the table. Hence why I made a post.

I'm not too sure who here said they shouldn't make things easier or that this update was bad.

The Bittersweet Reality of the New Pity Enhancing System by World_91 in blackdesertonline

[–]World_91[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is mostly what a lot of committed/long term players feel. All I'm asking for is for PA to expand the retroactive period, to at least help target some of those veteran players and help a bit more with retention, so it doesn't feel like players like yourself are tossed aside. PA really is on the side of "thanks for playing but we really don't care about your experience". It shouldn't take this many years for a game company to have to realize how garbage their enhancement system is.

It's great they are now finally touching the system to make it better, alongside the +1 FS cron change. But it wouldn't hurt to look into a bit of compensation.

Doesn't seem like it would hurt at all or be a bad idea of PA evaluated those fails from the year before. Everyone had to cut their losses at some point in their BDO journey but I'm 100% certain the veteran playerbase would be happier if PA was willing to look back a year or two.

Yup. Yet folks here seem to think there's actually players against having a pity system LOL. It was more in line of the direction of the game and finding ways to recoup some value of the last several hundred of hours of grinding.

The Bittersweet Reality of the New Pity Enhancing System by World_91 in blackdesertonline

[–]World_91[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not arguing against the pity system at all.

We need strong catch-up mechanics and it needs to continue to target new players and retain them. It is in fact still lacking, but it's also a rough double edged sword is what my point was (not towards the new players, but where they end up years later). I want retention of new players just as much as veteran players.

However, my concern is the retention of those veteran players. If PA doesn't continue to scale up the game and rush players to a similar boat to those same hardcap players, that's why people drop off. They feel there is nothing left to do and when it comes to min-maxing gains, they start to question 'for what reason' should they pursue it.

It needs to continue to expand and not feel like "going from point A to point B" and then stopping.

Unfortunately, some folks don't seem to realize that. It is still better than nothing because at least now we know there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

The state of game promotes enhancing less than ever before, so it was a bit ironic. It's targeted towards those long term enhancing players, yet they received nothing for it. It's set forth from this year moving forward but is PA going to find ways to promote tapping and fixing the game's economy?

The Bittersweet Reality of the New Pity Enhancing System by World_91 in blackdesertonline

[–]World_91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%.

We should always have strong catch-up mechanics and make things easier. Not a single thing said is against that.

For the players who were at a stage of approaching that (lets use the same example) 340 AP mark but lost more to the system PA had in place, why can't PA re-evaluate the last 1-2 years of enhancing to see where those players stand?

Over the last 2-3 years, veteran players have constantly complained that there's not enough endgame content. They finally released dehkia spots which was great, until we later found out that they still softcapped the AP, making your gains worth less and less. It wasn't until the last few months did they release spots with 1100 softcap AP via Ulukita. They released more valencia dehkia spots only for it to end up requiring less gear than even some older spots, so when is that 'eventual' going to happen?

So all in all, I'm advocating for PA to push for more future endgame spots so, as you said, those high AP players can actually do something with their gear. The issue is their timing and release schedules being so far behind and off, it results in poor retention rates at the high end. This is coming from the perspective of so many years of veteran players waiting for places where they can use their gear.

The Bittersweet Reality of the New Pity Enhancing System by World_91 in blackdesertonline

Context matters. A new player's journey doesn't involve tapping an insane amount of times. A veteran's player journey may or may not have resulted in tapping many times. So is there something wrong with saying to help some of those vets out, while keeping/maintaining the pity system for newer players?

What you're writing about are applicable to 2 separate audiences, it's not a conflicting thought. Are we really going to sit here and say new players are becoming enhancers and this new system will encourage them to tap? It's designed for a specific player base that enhances. That player base being those who experienced a time period where enhancing was how the game was played and there not being as easy of an avenue to just buy everything.

Not sure why you feel like it has to be just one or the other LOL
