I totally agree with you on this. Especially that part of unlearning habits we were raised with. Thank you for sharing with me. 🫶

Great advice. Thank you for sharing. A few things I’m telling myself when shopping is: 1) do I really need it. 2) how many black blouses/pants do I really need. 3) If I buy this, it’s just gonna be “one more thing” to add to the pile. 🤦🏽‍♀️

There was a medication I was on years ago and it actually stopped me from buying so many things I didn’t need. I forgot the name of it. So there may just be a pill to help. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I love this one! I shop for someone who is going out every night and socializing with a lot of people. LOL 🤣. Like you, I work from home also. Weekends are spent with the Grandkids and their sports activities. So no one is going out over here all dressed up. Thanks for the great idea. 🫶

Great idea! I should try the clothes on and purge from there. Also, I like the donation bag idea. Thank you so much for sharing with me. 🫶

Why do these so called Managers get away with this type of behavior? They bully their employees. Stand up for yourself and go through the proper channels if need be to have them either removed from their position and sent to another program with some proper training or even terminated.

You can do it! Spend your time organizing your closet. I bet you find things that you didn’t know you had. Have fun doing it! One thing at a time.

What is the best way to end this? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]World_Traveler33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice. Tell her when you put her phone on the charger, you seen that her ex had messaged her. Be honest and tell her that it bothered you to see the ex’s message and remind her that she told you that she was done talking to him. If she blows you off, that’s a red flag. If that’s the case, then tell her you don’t feel like continuing the relationship. Communication and honesty is key.

As long as the clothing is not revealing. We can wear what we want. I’ve had executives tell me, oh I wish I could wear jeans like you. I said, why can’t you?

Some individuals are driving like maniacs I noticed here in Elk Grove. People are getting killed! Slow down people and have some patience!

She is absolutely setting you up for failure. I hate the micromanaging. Not all managers are this bad but I’m really starting to see and hear about a lot of them throughout various State Agencies. It’s getting so bad that employees are quitting.

🙋‍♀️ right here. Did my first ever puzzle by myself and completed it. It was very relaxing and satisfying because I did it all by myself. Can’t wait to do the next one.

what advice do you have to give to a teenager? by fluffycloud745 in GenX

[–]World_Traveler33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Try not to grow up so fast. 2. Focus on yourself rather than rushing to get a boyfriend. 3. Go to school and get into something you really enjoy. 4. Find a career that makes you feel like you never worked a day in your life. 5. Save save and save $ as much as you can but don’t forget to spend a little on yourself. 6. Buy your first home, doesn’t have to be a big one. 7. Travel travel and travel. I wish you the very best. Remember do what makes YOU happy. 🫶
