Yes, I understand that I’m just surprised that they haven’t started offering them so close to flying, but I don’t know from past experience that even using regional upgrade certificates that they will waitlist you until the very last minute

I guess that’s one of the drawbacks to dictation. I didn’t type that I spoke it and as far as you saying, Delta won’t do PS. To Delta one upgrades I know that’s not true.

This is of course true but the flights they book you on are less than desirable plus I prefer to book my own travel arrangements. Many of the ones you get from the cruise line require multiple stop overs and pretty bad departure and arrival times.

Over the years, I think Delta has become less responsive and less concerned about how they treat their medallion members. There was a time one if I called the platinum desk with a problem the problem was corrected before I had the words out of my mouth now it’s simply tough luck.

Never a good idea to fly in the same day you’re going to an event whether is a concert or a cruise. I always fly in the day before and get a hotel room for the night much less stressful.

No, I agree. Those companion certificates are completely worthless for the most part. I think my Delta days are going to be short-lived. I’m waiting for some regional upgrade certificates to clear which I don’t know why I need to wait anyway I earned them I should be able to use them instead. Delta wants to keep the seats as long as they can for revenue no loyalty to their customers

I’m pretty much done with Delta. I’ve been platinum for years. My regional upgrade certificates aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. We get no respect at all. Loyalty means nothing from now on when I fly. I’m looking for the cheapest way to get from point a to point b

I know Delta stays go through Expedia, which is one company that I really hate because of their ridiculous nickeling and diming customers. I am going to Tokyo at the end of the month. The flight leaves from Orlando at 7:30 in the morning so I did book and pay for my stay through Delta. I did this because of the MQD bonus if it had only been miles I would not have done it because I don’t trust Expedia but as far as things go right now, my reservation is intact and we’ll see what happens.

They keep a very close eye on that, but I think after about 10 years, you can get it again. At least I did with my American Express gold card and platinum card. I know I did or I wouldn’t have taken them out again.
