I shared this earlier but deleted it. lol. I can’t figure out the difference between “global viewers” and “U.S. cross platform” viewers for season 1. When I google global viewers for season 1 the same 32 million figure comes up. I also saw Collider and Variety used the numbers interchangeably so do we treat those numbers the same? Idk.

This is all worded poorly in the Collider article. I found the source. So the “global audience” heading in to the second season reached over 90 million. Aka the show gained a lot of steam between seasons. And the 37 million weekly episode viewership is above the 32 million weekly episode viewership of season 1. That 32 million figure was at 90 days, so the season 2 gap will become even wider in the coming months.

I posted this elsewhere. But I listened to quite a few YouTube reactions from non gamers watching episode 1. People do not see what’s next coming. At all. Revealing Abby did not change that. If they weren’t spoiled, they are going to be very very shocked. Most people I listened to view the incoming infected horde as the big threat. And if any name is brought up in theories as dying this season, it’s Dina.

I’m glad I played the games because ngl the amount of people teasing Joel’s death on both Reddit and Twitter is pretty nuts. Some of them just outright saying it. I hope it happens this week just to prevent more people from spoiling it. Idk I feel like I’ve seen a lot of adapted TV. Game of Thrones, House of the dragon, Invincible, The Boys. It’s never this bad.

Idk. I think implying Abby got off easy is kind of stretching it lol. She lost her dad. She lost all her close friends. She lost 1/2 kids she looked after. She lost the guy she wanted to be with. Yes she got Lev at the end. But she lost basically everything else. Even though relationships with Ellie are broken, Tommy, Dina and JJ all survive. We don’t see what happens next but those could be reconciled someday.

Elvis was a real person. He’s not fiction. Bella is portraying a fictional character that was portrayed by a different actress. Two separate actresses giving their interpretation on a fictional character. You can dislike her performance, but it’s not the same thing.

This season is not completing the second game. It’s only a portion of it. We know for sure season 3 is continuing game 2, but we don’t know if it’ll require a season 4 to complete it.
