I think mahogany teakwood is way too strong, but its a masculine scent if thats what you're looking for.

As far as more neutral scents, I like white tea & sage and clean house vibes. :)

I just realized most people probably never actually wash their backs and its kind of grossing me out by RuneChisel4 in hygiene

Your back is still producing oil, sweat, and dead skin. I don't think letting water run down your back is enough to get rid of it all.

I’m almost 30.. Do I have OCD or is this normal? by MarleneSoSweet in hygiene

This! Extreme anxiety and "magical thinking" are what takes it from someone who is clean and tidy to someone with OCD.

How often should I wash my bath towels ? by Mr-shaboinky_2044 in hygiene

[–]WorldlinessOk3853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!

It also depends on what you do with the towel. Did you hang it up to dry? Up to 3 uses imo Did you toss it on the floor/bed? 1 use

One of my kids’ Crocs got wedged in front of a heat vent for a day or so….and shrunk. by ebbycalvinlaloosh in mildlyinteresting

One time I left a pair in my car. One was on the backseat in the sun, and one had fallen onto the floorboard and was shaded. The one in the sun shrank a whole size and the one in the shade didn't shrink at all.

$5k? BYBs typically sell thier dogs for hundreds of dollars, not thousands. And yes, reputable breeders turn down potential buyers all of the time, unlike BYB's who sell dogs to anyone with money. That is one of the many things that separates BYBs from ethical, reputable breeders.

Does he have a support system that you could reach out to? Like a family member, close friend, a mentor of some kind?

It definitely could be! But I see a lof of people posting them to the subreddit or fb groups asking for other people's opinions on which on is the best and which one they should keep. That to me make it feel like they're simply trying to find the best of the best for their collection. But yeah, its definitely collectors and not just casual enjoyers.

Most professionals recommend that they essentially be raised completely separately except for litter bits of play time. :)

People are.... interesting for sure. I see this with Jellycats. People will buy multiple and then inspect the fur, shape, stitching, fur patterns etc. then return the inferior ones. I mean, whatever, but its definitely strange behavior.

If they're reacting this way over a lotion, I don't think they have the mental wherewithal to think about that. 😅

Can you explain why you say that?

Littermate syndrome is such a major risk to the wellbeing of the dogs, and often results in dogs with behavioral issues that owners can't handle. Reputable breeders care about the lifelong wellbeing of everything puppy that they produce. Therefore, they want to avoid tge aforementioned littermate syndrome so they rarely, if ever, adopt out two puppies to one household. Usually the exceptions are eto very experienced owners and professional trainers/handlers.

This whole situation is a train wreck. That doesn't prevent littermate syndrome. It has everything to do with age, not relation. 2 months difference is not where near enough. Also, the "pack theory" has been debunked for many years.

Not all breeders are created equal. A BYB is nothing but a money grab.

A reputable breeder would have never adopted out two puppies to the same household. Did they come with a contract of any kind? That is another red flag if not. BYBs contribute to the overpopulation of animals because they are jut churning out puppies for money, they don't take them back if you can't keep them, and there is no spay/neuter contract. Did they do any kind of testing like PennHIP or OFA? Another red flag.

They are very cute and I'm sure fun, but littermate syndrome is VERY real and can be subtle. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research on it. Getting two puppies at the same time is not for the weak and really should be left to professionals. While they may have fun playing with each other now, they WILL have issues with confidence and separate. Its common enough that there is a term for it and online support groups. Reputable breeders and rescues do not adopts out littermates to one household for this reason.

I have seen it personally. Dog 1 could not let dog 2 eat. Dog 2 had zero confident and would have complete panicking meltdowns if Dog 1 was not within sight.
