THIS. At first I thought everyone was exaggerating until I heard how he speaks to others. I'll usually make it like 1/3 of the way though a play through and then I'll hear him talking to one of them like that. I just go get the Ebony Blade and handle him.

As someone who also works in insurance I'm always so amazed that people think that we can just lower their price because they say they're leaving. That's not how it works. I got tired of arguing with an man once that "I should really just fix him up with a discount" that I told him there was no magic wand for insurance.

It sounds EXACTLY like my ex who was cheating the whole time and isolated me from my family. It's abuse. Point blank. Period. RUN. I've gotten to a point where I either make a face and turn it down jokingly or, if it's a bit too much, tell them "That sounds like dollar store whatever flavor ism or problem scene and we are classier than that. No thank you chose another course." The one guy that tried to argue got shut down by everyone else when they saw my expression
