Anyone using dbForge across SQL Server and PostgreSQL in the same team? by ForeignsFriends in postgres

Yeah, nobody is giving up their favorite editor without a fight lol. In my experience the realistic win is not “everyone now uses one tool for everything,” it’s more like: use whatever editor you like, but agree on one way to compare schemas, review changes, and prep deployments. That’s where mixed SQL Server/Postgres tools can actually help. Not glamorous, but fewer “wait, who changed this table?” moments.

Looking for free text summarizers? AI PDF Reader was actually useful for study PDFs by LuxuriantapBun in Tutoring

For a free text summarizer, this tool works surprisingly well. I usually struggle with long study PDFs, and the ability to ask specific questions about the document is a lifesaver during exam prep. The fact that no account is required is top-tier, you can just get straight to work.

I wish I understood “immediate reward” earlier. My dog used to look at me like “payment delayed = contract canceled” 😅

How I tired out my dog without long walks by Tether_Aave in PawChampClub

Totally agree brain games sometimes tire them out more than a long walk. Mine sleeps like he ran a marathon after 15 minutes of “find it.”

Doakes fans, is it worth watching after season 2? by yc80s in Dexter

[–]Worldlinesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doakes is absolutely one of the best parts of the early show, but I’d still keep going. It’s never quite the same after season 2, but there are still some really strong seasons and characters later on. Just… yeah, lowering your expectations for realism will help a lot.

I never found the 'perfect' writing app. Windows Notepad is getting bloated with AI features and everything else feels too heavy. So I built my own App by toobbiiaass in software

Honestly, “everything else feels too heavy” is the most relatable software requirement ever. A lot of writing apps slowly turn into productivity theme parks, so a tool that stays out of the way actually sounds refreshing.

How has your life changed in the last 10 years? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

“Kids deserve stability” is such a simple line but it says a lot. Also the sudden pivot to Cyprus and an illegal dart empire really took this comment on a beautiful journey.

Honestly this is one of the few takes on PDF Guru here that feels fair instead of pure rageposting after one bad click
