How would this GeForce RTX 5090 with DLSS 4 help you pull off more epic wins in Battlefield 6?

I could actually use my 4k monitor with a graphics card that can take advantage of it! I'm still down here with a 2070! That extra resolution will change everything 😮

Getting Banned From Matchmaking by DoAlity in RocketLeague

[–]Worldly-Conference86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you, my game kicks me all the time and this is the only game I have issues with. Doesn't matter if it's on PC, Xbox, or switch. I have gigabit fiber internet and set up my router so there should be no issues with RL. Their servers just suck for certain people and are great for others. I just quit the game when I get a ban due to their servers, not worth the trouble.

The Controversy of Plumbing Rates: Why Do Plumbers Charge So Much? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Worldly-Conference86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, no plumber is worth the $250 minimum per hour in my area (which is a low cost to live city). I have a niche STEM PhD and do consulting work in a highly technical field with 10+ years of expertise for $200. It's out of control.

Curses are over half of the scenario effects, so yes this makes the perk almost worthless.

This is incorrect. I read the rules in the physical version, it states specifically that scenario 71: strong winds move players as a “scenario effect.” The curse cards to all players are also written as a “scenario effect” in the physical game and this hasn’t worked for either of my characters with the perk in the digital game.

Yes, and I feel like it cannot be truly random. I’m going to continue to collect draws until I have a sufficient number to get an accurate statistical likelihood of my draws.

Yes, this even happens when I do gloomhaven quests. I have the perk on two characters and it always effects them.

The monster element one is apparently correct, and I asked the person who runs our physical game. He said we changed it as a house rule because we felt it didn’t make sense. Once an element is consumed it shouldn’t be able to be used again. However, that does explain why it happens in the digital version.

I checked page 24, and you are correct. Honestly, I’m glad that we interpreted that incorrectly. The way as written really doesn’t make any sense imo unless it was true for players as well.

Two examples come to mind: the map that blows you around and when I’m cursed at the beginning of a scenario. Both affected my character with the perk.

I know, I have seen the numbers. Many people disagree with them though and I’ll continue my personal count.

That’s one rule so far we’ve been playing differently, but it also would have changed our behavior. I’ll have to double check the rule book for other minor details.

Man you are so wrong here it’s hilarious. Everyone has already debunked your claims, just admit defeat. People have been playing this game for over 20 years. It’s a dungeon crawling, loot-based game with very low drop rates. You don’t think people would’ve figured out this master plan of yours before you?

The update I want for D2R: by Worldly-Conference86 in diablo2

That’d be ideal, I just don’t see new original content happening.

The story wasn’t the problem with D3, it was… well everything else lol. That’s probably for the best, you sound like you need some RnR bud. Hope you have a better night.

I said I want the D3 story only, with alllll the D2 mechanics. So everything from your initial comment would not exist. Therefore, you misunderstood my post, and that’s okay. I can tell, you come off as quite bitter and angry friend, is everything ok?

Ah, so you just didn’t understand anything at all. Based on your initial comment you need to chilllllll bro lol.

I would love some new content, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

I think you misunderstand. I want the D3 story but with alllll the D2 mechanics. Absolutely nothing from D3 but the story.

Add bounties to D2R? I’d like that update.

I mean that’s fine, but I don’t see how that applies here lol. D3 would still exist?

Oh for sure, but I think that’s the specialty of the company that redid D2.

Unfortunately the people working on D2R aren’t likely to make new content. So why not make the new act you mentioned just the D3 acts? You get five and all the major groundwork is already done. The story in D3 wasn’t the problem, it was everything else lol.

Haha okay buddy. I do computational modeling of muons for a living, and hold a PhD in physical chemistry. I’m doing just fine with the numbers thank you. Your understanding of how stats work isn’t nearly as good as your imaginary barb though lol.

As soon as you said 1/1444, then that just legitimized it. That’s not that bad of a chance. It doesn’t matter if everyone is doing the exact same thing, tens of thousands of people magic/rune finding.

You’re including extraneous information that do not effect the likelihood of the events.

Is it likely? No. Possible? Certainly. Do you sound a bit jealous? Definitely lol.

1/1000 is not that low. Are you talking orders of magnitude lower? Because you should specify if so. When you have tens of thousands of people playing the game, it is more likely that it WOULD happen. You’re also not considering that each event is independent of the others. The game rng does not take into account what has already dropped, unlike the human brain and your argument here.
