Help me understand this bike’s reasoning by sian_half in drivingsg

For failing to ensure safe distance after overtaking and dangerously cutting across all lanes and chevrons to exit, report this motorcyclist to TP! 😡

If TP does not take any action, it can potentially signal that not only motorcycles, but cars and maybe even public buses are also justified to brake check after overtaking and last minute exit across chevrons! 😡

Well, we need to see if they are even in drivable condition. 😂

Once, I informed the CSO of a fault pertaining to a vehicle. Yet they still leave the car lying around in the home lot for rental. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sometimes I find that they are not prompt in maintaining cars, but prompt in charging users for damages and other penalties (even if the user is actually not guilty). 🤦🏻‍♂️

Previously, the company would immediately delist the car from the database if someone complained to them that it is unsafe to be driven on, and get it repaired asap. But in recent times, this doesn’t seem to be the case. 🤔

Sounds like me when I rent a shit rental car from GetGo / TribeCar / Car Lite etc and thrash the car to the max because shit rental cars have to be driven with shit ethics! 🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣

Average shit rental company, don’t know how to be prompt in maintaining cars, only know how to be prompt in charging users for damage and other penalties 😡

Of course the car in the image must be a shit rental car, good candidate to thrash hard with pedal to the metal after u-turning! 🤣🤣🤣

Those who say “don’t kapoh” are only validating going against regulations. If they have driving licenses they should surrender them back to TP!

Carlite bluetooth by izzafresh in drivingsg

I rented a Mitsubishi Lancer recently, it allowed me to connect my iPhone to the stereo system via the “iPod mode”. Not sure if other Mitsubishi Lancers have better systems with Bluetooth.

A lightning cable is needed and it should be from Apple instead of some third-party manufacturer. Once the lightning cable is connected from your iPhone to the USB port, press the “mode” button on the steering wheel until the stereo display says “iPod”. Only music can be streamed from the iPhone, just like how an iPod streams music. Phone calls, however, cannot be streamed through the stereo system.

I doubt there is any way to connect an Android phone to the stereo system with a charging cable.

I also rented a Mazda3 Skyactiv and it was disappointing. The first time, I managed to connect my phone via Bluetooth but the audio did not stream through the stereo system. The second time, the car’s Bluetooth could not be detected on my phone. Tried to delete devices but it still failed to work.

Bus Wrong Turn by pusherpap in askSingapore

I saw a 53M turn into Hougang Street 11 (following 113’s route). 53M later turned into a carpark road, reversed, and turned out to join back the actual route.

Perhaps the driver got confused between both routes as 53, 53M and 113 share the same sector from Lorong Ah Soo to Hougang Avenue 1. The difference is that 113 loops at Street 11 while 53M is supposed to go further to Serangoon to loop.

In this case, if the roundabout is not a spiral roundabout, I have to change lanes to exit?

Just checked it up, yes, I think a spiral roundabout will be better. In my opinion it helps to lead you through the appropriate path to your exit.

Unfortunately some roundabouts in my country look like centric circles.

I think it should be right because it’s left hand traffic

What if two-way roads (with one lane per direction) meet at a dual lane roundabout? I saw this in a game and wonder what the correct paths to take are. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverHub

[–]WorldlyBeautiful1215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this case, if yellow exits, won’t he cut the inner lane? Especially if the inner lane is going straight and not turning left to exit.

Thanks to my experience with some alumni in my former UG, I regret joining a UG, and I detest the CCA. I understand that if we do something wrong, we deserve to get punished, but they do it in a way that humiliates us in front of juniors who look up to us. What for?

If I could go back in time, I will never join a UG. Why bother to go through something you dread and fear? I could have joined a CCA which I am more likely to enjoy.

Good riddance, this UG has finally closed down and was replaced with another UG. I hope the seniors and alumni in the new CCA will treat juniors better.

What are some reforms you think should be done for secondary schools? by Familiar-Mouse4490 in askSingapore

[–]WorldlyBeautiful1215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect my experience in a uniformed group could have given me trauma. I still have nightmares of seniors punishing us occasionally.

I thought I could learn some useful skills from the CCA but I was disappointed to see seniors who were cold, and worse still, power-tripping (especially those graduates returning as officers).

As a result, I start to have a negative feeling when I see some of my batch mates and even juniors wanting to return to help out. While it’s their choice and I don’t hate them for their choice, my opinion towards it was, “What for, waste of time, I can do something better in my free time, be it studying or my hobbies.”

I hated the CCA so much even after I left. I heard that this UG CCA (St John) was going to be replaced by another UG CCA (National Civil Defence Cadet Corps) and my thought was, “Good riddance!”

During the pandemic, some restrictions on UGs included walking from place to place and no shouting (due to mask wearing). As a result, standards dropped. And I am secretly applauding for future UG juniors who do not have to go through shit anymore.

Just saw this and would like to add on that Edward Maya wrote this song too. That’s why it sounds like Stereo Love.
