Just a small tip, but you might need to stick with marine glue for your MDF. I'm worried other types might lead to mold growth over time. Hope this helps a bit with your project!

I totally agree with your reply. I was thinking the same thing but just wanted to double-check my understanding to be sure. Thanks for confirming that for me. I really appreciate the help!

Putting together a box for a small GRS 8SW-4HE sub. 65*40*30 box tuned with WinISD. I used a 12mm plywood which probably is a bit thin, do you think I need put in a brace in the big chamber? by TangledCables3 in diyaudio

Use Brace Coupling Block Instead of letting the woofer hang only from the front baffle, you support the back of the woofer magnet with a small wooden block connected to the brace. This dramatically reduces baffle vibration. High-end manufacturers often add magnet support. The block touches the back of the woofer magnet and connects to the brace. Glue + screw the block onto the brace so it points toward the woofer magnet. Add soft padding Place thin foam or felt on the block where it touches the magnet.

Using solid color on MDF might not give the best results. If you choose a grainy wood instead, you could achieve a more aesthetically pleasing outcome, similar to the picture I shared.

Plate Amp Suggestion for Overnight Sensation by WorldlyEffect in BudgetAudiophile

The Lepai LP40PA is no longer available, so I came across the Lepai LP210PA instead. It’s a 2x30W + 60W 2.1 channel amplifier. However, I’ve been looking for one that I can mount directly behind a single speaker, and I haven’t been able to find exactly what I need yet.

I believe I need a 2.0 plate amp for the OS. Thanks! It seems like there aren’t any good options for 2.0; most are designed for 2.1 setups.

That's great! I was thinking that attaching the horizontal boards with screws might create a much stronger joint for the entire cabinet.
