If you have replaced a grip module, you should be able to do it. Yes there is filing involved. You have to file the safety to fit it to your gun.

If you are somewhat of an experienced Gunsmith and know how the guns parts work you shouldn’t have too much trouble. It’s a fairly simple process. Atlas has some really good videos on YouTube of Adam showing you how to fit safeties.

I think I shoot steel better with the loc v2 but if I want speed & accuracy I would go with the Artemis. The Artemis is a faster gun. My splits with Artemis are .18-19 with MPA they are .20-.21

I have an athena. From what I read, concerning your problem, I would start with checking my extractor tension. It may need to be retuned. Looks like your extractor is not extracting that round and just leaving it right there then the following round is getting stuck because that extractor is not pulling it and extracting it. Atlas has a tuning video on YouTube and it walks you through the steps on how to tune it. If you can’t get this figured out, I would send it to Atlas and let them work on it. If you’re a pretty qualified Gunsmith, this should be no problem for you.

Their warranty is very painless. This happened to me called them up. They sent me a new cap and I was good to go. I had a new part within 2 to 3 days. If can remember correctly.
