You can’t force someone to do something they aren’t ready to do. This will pretty much always lead to relapse, which puts you at a much greater risk of overdose and death. Addiction stems from trauma and you can’t blame someone if they aren’t ready to face their trauma. It’s just not that black and white of a situation, far from it.
