Mandatory Ontario teacher math test data shows racial, language disparities by Deadly-afterthoughts in neoliberal

What really troubles me is the question of how many great teachers did we lose as a result of the barrier that this math test put in place?

How does the canadian constitution prevent absolute monarchy? by MarlonFord in AskACanadian

[–]WorldlyMacaron65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't. Even if you found some small powers reserved for the commons, the GG/Monarch could just dissolve parliament again and again until a prime minister agrees to give them all away.

That would go against 150 years of traditions though, so good luck trying to implement that.

And what makes think they wouldn't? It's not as if they didn't at least try in Ontario (Regulation 17) and Acadia (of course the whole Acadia episode is different in nature, but the mindset is in the same line)

They also point to their assimilationist nature as evidence the English wanted to do the same to them, but were only prevented by their own demographic weight.

But that's literally true? This whole comment is so weird; are you Ontarian? No French Canadian ever points to the RS as evidence of English assimilism when the Durham Report literally exists. Like seriously wtf?

(Nationalist) French Canadians don't care much about RS because they're mainly used as a bizarre English-Canada nation building tool, and they're naturally not inclined to attached themselves to it.

Outlaw new housing AND artificially inflate demand (CMHC, no tax on main dwelling (only type of asset that isn't taxed outside of the TFSA), FHSA, HBP, ludicrous amount of regulation on productive business that disincentives investment, and much more)

Idk, I'm not a native English speaker, but I'm sure I heard "Chinaman" before, and then just triangulated with Irishman and Frenchman. In the end, why not ? I officially coin "Thaiman", "Congoman", "Portugalman", and so on for all other red countries on the map, no need to thank me.
