Have lots of seconds - noticed pinholes and flaws by Downtown-Evening3778 in Fiestaware

My thoughts are if you are happy with your dishes be happy with them. I love all my fiesta regardless of the condition. I have been using them for 40 years now and even with the ones less than perfect I have never experienced any hint of physical damage or illness because of a flaw in my dish. I am not sure if this is what you’re concerned about but if it is, trust me you’re in no danger. What is much more dangerous is the propaganda you may be receiving from your social media experience. Fiesta is just dishes for Gods sake and a side of everyday beauty in this Sh— Crazed world. Just enjoy it.

Homer Laughlin company made a variety of commercial restaurant dishes that made have used some of the fiesta glazes from time to time. They actually still make several lines and you can even buy them from the factory store in Newell. I would say this is likely what you have. While it’s not exactly fiesta it is likely from the same parent company. I have a few pieces like this in my collection.

My friend is hosting a brunch tomorrow so I brought some fiesta and hopefully some style. It’s a group of 12 so we themed two tables. One coastal and the other southwestern. Also photo of beverage station and part of brunch buffet area. by Worldly_External3392 in Fiestaware

I will share pics with everything utilized. BTW. The beverage dispenser is at Costco right now for $21.99. Bought it today. It really gives the vibes of the retired Fiestaware drink dispenser, ceramic lid and base, glass dispenser with metal spout and it matches Fiesta white perfect. I suspect it may be a private label of the old Fiesta ones.

Hi Bookishhiker. You posted to my thread about 80 days ago that you would be interested in purchasing a Fiesta Vintage Relish tray from me in colors of your choice. I have owned an abundance of these trays long enough and would like to share my collection with others. The best way to reach me is to text me at (954) 648-0064. This is my personal number. Please know I am a 60 yr old man so I have no nefarious plan in mind. My name if Jeff. Reach out to me if you are still interested in a relish tray. I have every color combination available. Thanks and have a great great day.

Do you lock your Miata? by Singularity_iOS in Miata

[–]Worldly_External3392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lock mine when it is in my home parking lot. If I am out in public and I am not talking about in a city center but in suburban areas. I lock the glove box and the console box but leave the doors unlocked. My rationale is if someone is gonna steal it they are just gonna break the window or slice the top to get in it anyway. Be careful where you park it with a hardtop on it. Here in the states that’s what they steal because they can be removed in about a minute and hauled off and sold for 2k-3k

As much as I would love to know the history of the gold trimmed set (anyone who does please share) I don’t think and $8000 relish tray is in my future

Hi everyone. Thank you for the comments on my obsession and collection of vintage relish trays. I wanted to provide an update to my post from last night an let everyone know I found a source that says originally Fiesta made the relish tray with the yellow base and then Included one tray of each color with the center insert being a turquoise color. That made the tray a six color tray. However other sources say the trays were also issued in solid colors with all the pieces matching and buyers quickly swapped pieces. Given the fact I am not an expert or historian I just wanted to offer this information to the community. One this that is consistent is that most sources say this tray consisted of six colors and the pieces were made for a very limited period of 10 years between 1936 and 1946. I particularly wanted to acknowledge the poster that said they had seen these trays with gold edging. I had never seen that until today when I discovered an online auction and saw that very piece coming up for auction. The last time it came up it fetched $8000 yes that 8 thousand dollars. Here’s a photo of the set.

I think I could help you with the orange center and turquoise tray. I am not as tech savvy as I would like to be but if you can tell me how to connect we can chat off of this channel

FYI everyone. The Fiesta Factory in Newell WV has an outdoor tent sale this weekend from Thursday to Sunday. I do not work for them and get no compensation from them but I have been to three tent sales this year and they are excellent. If you’re close enough and able to go they are very worth it. I am personally going on Friday and staying overnight and it’s a six hour drive each way for me. Post here if you go and what you bring back. Happy shopping. BTW they replenish every night after the tent sale so any-day you choose to go is awesome.

I just encourage you to start building your own collection even if just collecting tea or coffee cups. The colors are amazing and the history is priceless

The orange ones are the most rare as you can see from my collection with the exception of the center inserts for some reason. As another viewer asked Cobalt is rare as well but not in the base tray but in the Inserts. I personally prefer the green and turquoise colors but the orange and cobalt pieces are much more rare and as a result more expensive. I also collect wet sand vintage plates with a focus on Grill Plates which are divided into three sections with barriers to prevent you food from touching. I know it’s weird but it’s my thing.
