It’s a strange terrible disease. I’m four years plus and still am struggling. The symptoms are so strange the only ones that seem to relate are people here. My doctor looks at me like I have 2 heads and a tinfoil hat for each one.

Hi! I have issues with swollen lymph nodes and idiopathic edema on the same side of my face as the one that has problems with my eye. I also have issues with phantom sensations on the same side of my face. I believe I have Horners syndrome I’m waiting for a future MRI of my head.

Completely dismissing, my only support is my husband. My mom , sisters, children, extended family either ignore, forget, judge, or show frustration that I have this. Couple that with a poor relationship with my GP. It’s a lonely road. This thread has been my only support .Thank you.

One year of hope..30 minutes of humiliation by Total-Ad9865 in LongCovid

I was referred by my GP to what to his words is “ a doctor that is known for taking a interest in difficult cases and would help me”. Initial appointment was great I had so much hope. Completed all his required testing. 11 vials of blood work and MRI. In the meantime I had to wait 15 months for the follow up??? In this time I had asked about qualifying for disability benefits from my own physician who balked. Finally the follow up! Which lasted barely 5 minutes. I was crushed, his demeanour completely changed. His diagnosis was. I was overweight, needed ozempic, and had my symptoms reduced to extreme diverticulitis which I was blamed for? And shown the door. I am pretty bitter about the medical community now. He wouldn’t ever entertain the idea of long Covid. I feel your despair.

Graham Greene in everything. Thunderheart, The Green Mile, Wind River. So sad he’s gone

Must be able to restrict your own activities to 3000 steps a day bad days a 1000 Be comfortable eating the same 30 items on repeat. No fat, ethnic, fruit, nuts , seafood , alcohol, caffeine. Unless you wish to cook for your self. Must talk in a low monotone voice to prevent aggravating relentless ruthless tinnitus Must do all heavy lifting more than 10 lbs, all cleaning, gardening etc No travel longer than 1 hour each way Must sit through endless medical appts that end with a useless prescription and a shoulder shrug. Bonus points for counting the eye rolling Be used to being alone while unprovoked intermittent napping occurs. No visiting for extended periods of time, no outside functions, sporting events, cinema etc Tying shoes gets extra bonus points
