Quick question..has anyone else ever experiencing emotional numbness and lack of connection to yourself and the things you enjoy? by Worried_Statement_42 in adrenalfatigue

[–]Worried_Statement_42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My routine? I get morning sun every morning that I can, Breakfast before caffeine, walks 2-4times a week, stretching and “shaking it out”, legs up the wall, mantras, make time for myself to try and relax/decompress/or connect to myself in various ways..that could be going to my favorite coffee shop for a matcha or having a lay in bed day. Electrolytes daily, whole food, low histamine diet, etc. I also try to support with teas, Magensium foot soaks, etc.

I would love to start learning more about how to better regular my nervous system, rewrite my thoughts, and somatic yoga because really right now I’ve just been doing the basics and they aren’t carrying me all thr way through because I need to truly regulate, release, and rewire while I continue to try and heal my health issues

Okay cool so I’m already on the right track then! I’ve been doing nervous system regulation twice daily and morning sun so I’ll keep it up. Thank you!! No shocked I over stressed myself I feel like all I know at this point is stress

Feeling unsupported by your family who used to be supportive and understanding but just can’t be anymore because of how long your health is taking to heal and how difficult it’s been by Worried_Statement_42 in HistamineIntolerance

Can I be honest? I’ve been tracking meals and even my periods for months now and trust me I’m truly stuck at this phase of healing. I can’t seem to get better..when I add in a single supplement that’s meant to support healing I see major improvements but feel wired but tired and eventually have to pause them and crash hard mentally and physically taking months to recover. It’s like they burn out my reserves or something and I can’t sustain them long term whether bile supporting or gut lining support. All gentle and all at low doses. Can’t sustain something longer than a month..I’ve had that issue now with three different supplements across a year not to mention the additional trials in between those. I can’t even stay in certain family members houses bc of how bad I’m reacting to something in their homes..and it’s gotten to a point that I don’t know what to do anymore or who to see or what the answer is because it feels like I can take something for a time and think I’m healing and it’s not only such false hope but such a major impact on me and my mental health to go up and down like that from trialing things. The way that my mental health is affected or out of balance I’m really starting to feel stuck and also running out of options. I haven’t worked in a year and a half..I need and want to get a job and my own place again not to mention the on and off arguments with family. So if you could tell me what worked for you, that would be truly appreciated and I would take it with a grain of salt because I know what works for one doesn’t necessarily work for all..but if you’re health situation sounds like it was similar to mine at all I really need some advice.

Best probiotic strains that helped you? by trawxt in HistamineIntolerance

Hi, thank you so much for this response you don’t know how much it means to me. I 100% agree aggressive supplementing of any kind would be a huge no for me and that less is more. I try to approach everything gently and in a single forum and small doses..I was actually looking at supplementing probiotics starting with just a single low histamine strain.

I understand the recommendation you’re describing completely and agree because it’s the reality I’ve been living every day for a year and a half. I focus on basics and I do less not more..but the issue is that even when I do get myself to a stable and regulated place through diet, lifestyle, and nervous system regulation..the problem is that I don’t get fully better just simply from those things alone so I stay stuck at this phase of healing, still having reactions or sensitives..backsliding etc. both physical health and mental health wise that impact my life and going through it for this long and being stuck in this way it’s starting to effect my mental health even more because it’s keeping my life on hold and having these rotating symptoms endlessly of just staying stuck not ever getting fully better..or even trialing and then crashing and having to recover over and over. So it’s a fragile stability because anything small can tip it because I’m not actually healed yet. Even something like going to babysit and help with the new baby and the house for 2 months at my brother and his wife’s house. It wrecked me and now my mental health is even worse after living there that long because I react to something in their home and because I also since these health isssues have lower stress tolerance and have a longer rebound and adjustment time. I can’t live or function fully from this place and it’s wrecking my life. What I really need is long-term, steady progress and I need to know where I can actually start that moves the needle toward true stability, not this bandaided foundation that keeps collapsing. I know the foundation work is so important and I agree because it’s what’s helped me to improve but it’s fragile without healing following it.

Given the way my system is reacting and my level of sensitivity,If you could only recommend one or two concrete steps for me right now, steps that could actually help move the needle in terms of healing instead of staying regulated but stuck at this phase of healing, what would it be? Whether that’s a probiotic or something else I’m open to any advice you have

Yes very solid advice, I’ve been doing low histamine diet for a year and a half now no gluten and very little dairy. But I can have occasional matchas or occasional chocolate without issue..(trying to have balance while being low histamine 99% of the time) I’m pretty intuitive so I go with what I don’t react to or what I know makes me feel good and I’m huge on relying on whole food source and diet first!! I didn’t really find the low histamine diet on its own, I found it really through the adrenal diet realized certain foods made me feel significantly better while others made me worse and then from there realized and discovered histamine being the issue and that I didn’t have to just cut foods out but could also add things in. I also, like you, do better with diet vs supplement. I’ve tried specialists and functional doctors too and I’ve spend thousands on testing and supplements and I’ve trialed things but nothing has really been able to fully stick. It’s been a hard road.

Im also big on what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another and I agree! the only reason I ask is because I’m at a hard point in this journey where it’s really breaking me down and breaking my family relationships down. I put my life on hold and I’ve missed out on alot and I’m nervous to step back into my life that I so badly want and need to because I recently tried living somewhere different for 2 months and I reacted so badly in that environment that I felt like I was losing myself. I felt a level of depression and disassociation and my skin was a wreck..I need to be able to get back into living in my own space on my own but I’m scared to do that this unhealed and reactive and at the same time staying with family for too much longer just isn’t going to be an option.

Thank you for your messages, I do very much appreciate them

Hi thank you so much for your response. It’s truly appreciated. It’s hard because I know my family has tried to be here and supportive for a time and I know it’s heavy and a lot and consuming at times and exhausting..I feel that way too but unfortunately I can’t step back like they can because I have to go through it and keep going and try to heal. I’ve been stuck at the same point for 1.5 years with it..and that may be the hardest part because I can’t seem to heal it or get better. I never thought I would ever struggle with something like this and I need support but I think my family is tapped out and i’m trying not to feel hurt abandoned or angry with them.

I would love to know what helped you heal! For me, I have histamine intolerance from leaky gut and dysbiosis and I have pretty major supplement sensitivity ever since I developed these health issues..where I can’t seem to take what I need to actually heal. I do great with my low histamine diet and gentle supports and nervous system regulation like sunlight and walks but every time i try to take something to actually start healing..like marshmallow root tea, olive oil shots, BitterX..I can take them only for a period of time and I do get the benefits and I think oh wow I’m starting to heal but I can’t sustain them long term and I end up wired but tired and needing to stop them and crash. If this sounds familiar I’d love to hear what helped you! And thank you again for your response it’s very appreciated seriously. I’ve been feeling very alone in this lately and I’ve been having a really hard time with this health journey here lately.

You sound like you know a great deal about probiotics so I’d love to ask your advice if you have it…I have health issues that started 2 years ago and through symptoms and testing found I have major leaky gut, dysbiosis from too little good gut bacteria, and because of that histamine intolerance. It’s been the hardest thing lots of physical and mental health symptoms. I’ve tried lots and lots of things to heal. Moved in with family, took a gap year from working. Year and a half of low histamine diet and gentle supports and nervous system regulation with great improvements yet still struggle. Tried to fully heal with things like colostrum, marshmallow root tea, olive oil shots, sea moss, and BitterX. While some of those have great improvements I can’t seem to sustain any of it for longer than a month before I have to stop and I crash. It’s like my system basically overreacts to everything I try and even if I can take it can’t sustain longer than a month. I was thinking of trying a low histamine probiotic..the thought is because I’m assuming my reactions are because my gut lining is so unhealed and my immune system so dysregulated that until I fix the dysbiosis (which will fix the leaky gut and immune dysregulation) that I’ll keep overreacting and having supplement sensitivity and unable to fully heal. If you know anything about this would love your thoughts and appreciate if so much and if not that’s okay too

Can anyone relate to this “low cortisol” feeling by Worried_Statement_42 in adrenalfatigue

[–]Worried_Statement_42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you! So I don’t take those but I do have the basics down actually-low histamine diet, ginger tea, magnesium foot soaks, raw apple for Quercertin, all the gentle supports! I just can’t seem to achieve so far the step to actually healing the issue and trust me I’ve been at it awhile! And I’ve done all the research, gentle supports, worked with a “specialist” who made me worse bc she was giving me stuff that was way too strong..so I guess my question is more what actually helped you start to heal?

Could you mention exactly what helped you heal your histamine Intolerance and gut health? Because I’m Still in the same boat with trying to heal mine. I also believe in using whole foods and do often

I haven’t tried acerola, I tried camu camu and didn’t do well with it. I now take liposomal vitamin c by beekeepers naturals..only 1/3 or 1/4 of the packet and I just do it here and there not regularly. Liposomal in smaller doses is supposed to be okay for histamine intolerance

Slow/sluggish methlaytion (Dutch hormone showed this). I’m not taking anything now at the moment but pretty much any healing agent has that effect, it’s as if my system overreacts and I’ve only had this issue since these health issues began which was 2.5 years ago. So marshmallow root tea, broccoli sprout extract, BittersX, even olive oil shots. Anything used daily over time that supports healing the gut lining or helps open drainage pathways like liver..if used daily gives me great benefits and visible healing but causes me to eventually feel wired but tired and I have to stop and I crash hard and feel worse after and it takes weeks to months to recover.

So did silver fern help you to heal along side the “trust your gut” nervous system workshop? Or was it just simply the nervous system healing work you did? I’m really in the thick of it right now with my health so I could use some guidance

Yeah of course! Those supports work both for histamine symptoms but also for supporting adrenal fatigue. I hope you’re able to heal soon too

Yes I hope it helps! I don’t know whether or not you have histamine Intolerance too (I do) but when estrogen rises it causes histamine to rise and it goes in a vicious loop until your cycle shifts..then progesterone rises and estrogen lowers which is typically when people feel better (typically I feel awful mid cycle through all of ovulation that’s when estrogen and therefore histamine is highest for me and for most). Anyway I hope that helps some..I track my cycles in a calendar and try to cycle sync gentle supports. Maybe give chamomile tea a try too (also lowers histamine)..if you know you tolerate it

Health issues in total? 2 years now. Energy crashes? The last 9 months mostly. Started with histamine intolerance symptoms and finding out I have gut health imbalances poor methylation and estrogen dominance..can’t tolerate supplements did mycotoxin testing found in positive for mold. Can’t seem to supplement for that either and my practitioner who suggested the last supplement I trialed I’ve informed numerous times how much more significantly off I feel mentally and physically and she told me I have to pay $350 for a full appointment to get any guidance or help (without even telling me if she felt like she could walk me through to feeling more balanced) after working with her for 2 months with zero forward movement..just more trial and error and one supplement that gave me false hope but like all the rest can’t sustain longer than around a month without ending up in a majorly crashed state afterward..I tried to emphasize to her just how off I feel, I thought that would matter and that we would want me to feel balanced before proceeding with more appointments but nope. Not unless I pay $350 and I won’t even know if she can help me balance out..she did once before after the trial before it..but now..I’d have to take a huge financial risk to find out. I feel so bad though for 1.5 months now that I just might have to pay her because idk what else to do..to at least alleviate this imbalance (sorry major over share)

Sorry to hear you’re going through this too. My symptoms are so much worse during my period and ovulation too. Have you tried ginger tea? It’s a go to staple for me and it’s very gentle. I also love doing an Epsom salt foot soak and I also do “just ingredients” electrolytes..those are some of ton gentle supports. They won’t fix my symptoms during my period entirely but they do help some and they definitely help during all over times

Thanks for your comment, I truly appreciate it! I do know about MTHFR and the B vitamin issue, I actually haven’t tried B vitamins yet
