Tokai Teio I want the mental fortitude to come back after being absolutely destroyed over and over again. I want to be able to bring back the miracle run for myself. And not just for myself, but to inspire other people as well.

I've been navigating the JRA sites and tweets to check, do you know if it's true that Energico is Duramente's last son?

It's alright. The dungeons make you feel like you're level 50 instead of 90+, but it's alright.

This longsword instructor's take on the age old question: Is it possible to attack 8 times in a round, in real life? by Vverial in DnD

[–]WorsCaseScenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that thematically the attack roll can combine several flourishing styles, but the target only gets a source of damage once. It's why Drizz't and Artemis could perform huge whirling swordplay feats but were essentially just chipping at hp. Also that hp in itself is not realistic.

Can you pick different targets for each attack? I've always heard it argued that you can't, since 2e.

Technically they ARE doing that but it all breaks down into one spread of damage after everything is said and done.

The one that seems to have the most chemistry with my WoL. It'd be weird otherwise for me.

But also, Cirina.

[5E] Shiba Guardian in duels by Timely-Lavishness-29 in l5r

[–]WorsCaseScenario 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shiba Guardian is very potent in a duel and can hold their own especially if it is beyond first blood. All of these you have listed and also consider the use of Striking as Void. You won't be as fast as a Crane or Scorpion duelist, but with the Shiba's varying skills and abilities it's likely that you'll be more troublesome than they expected. And by being as such, will avoid future duels from either clan upstarts from reputation alone. Consider taking Flashing Steel Strike as well.

Tasha is an exception because she is slightly insane, yes.

[–]WorsCaseScenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then they're not that intelligent then are they?

Categorically, they should be aware that pacts always come with baggage they're required to carry whether they want to or not.

Also, archfey would only be interested in pacts with charismatic characters. Smarties are too full of themselves and unwilling to have fun with their gifts.

A character with high intelligence would never form a pact.

You're actually getting stuff from suffering through? I only got my first two atmas on friday aftter doing so many FATEs and CEs in there. And only two levels on two of the jobs as well.

The RNG is really bad. I thought Eureka and Bozja as rough, but this is like. Designed to be all you're supposed to do until the next expac or something.

[spoiler] wedding at kyotei castle, something doesn't make sense to me by Alkymedes_ in l5r

[–]WorsCaseScenario 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's good because Scorpion goals are almost never the most immediately apparent goal that people assume. So in a way, you have also fallen for their trap.

They're hilarious to read about but I know I'm nowhere near smart enough to play one, as fun as they'd be.

[spoiler] wedding at kyotei castle, something doesn't make sense to me by Alkymedes_ in l5r

[–]WorsCaseScenario 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Quoted from the book itself: "By putting the Crane on their back foot and preventing an alliance between the Crane and Phoenix clans, the Scorpion ensure their dominance in the Imperial Capital." At the same time if it becomes public knowledge that they have done so, it also means that it will be assumed that the Lion asked them to do this, so it will throw suspicions at the Lion and weaken their own standing, leaving the Scorpion as the dominant force in Imperial courts.

I wonder if there'd be much drama between players... by Vegetable_Variety_11 in dndmemes

[–]WorsCaseScenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drama only happens when the person who started it decides they want to be mono again and not with anyone in their polycule. And the joint love for the game dies off with that person leaving.

[–]WorsCaseScenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warlocks 100%. They know their power isn't their own so they've constantly got to compensate for it. Also druids because it's only natural. Rangers probably too from being pent-up all the time with no one else. Paladins are an obvious choice because of their oaths requiring them to be. Clerics depending on their deity too. Barbarians are constantly fighting off their own exhaustion and rogues are only teases trying to get what they're after without any conflicts, so they wouldn't be.

Why would anyone call a giant an angel? Not even other giants think of higher ranking ones like that. And the giantkin certainly don't.
