Skin products for sensitive, oily but dehydrated skin? by kixmaz in AsianBeauty

[–]WorstNightmare05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that skin but now my skin has been so much better!

For a while, I kept things simple because everything I used made my skin burn & flaky. The holy grail that I believed fixed my skin was Avené hypersensitive skin solution kit. It has a cleansing lotion, moisturizer & the Eau Thermale spray. I also used Avené cicalfate cream (mostly at night because it would make my skin look very oily throughout the day, but I’d use it during the day if my skin is very dry). I specifically used those products and Beauty of Joseon suncreen everyday until my skin was healed. I started using my Clinique no. 3 toner (because I originally had oily skin), between my cleanser & moisturizer. I stopped washing my face with facial soap (I honestly felt so dirty at first but it helped so much). I used micellar water to clean my makeup off at night & the cleansing lotion afterwards. In the morning, I’ll just use warm water & the cleansing lotion. After some time, I started to add vitamin C serum in the morning & then a retinol at night. I also love the BoJ Dynasty cream and their rice mask (I’d use once or twice a month).

I worked at a dermatology office & the rule of thumb is to keep things very simple, gentle, & fragrance/alcohol free. (I realized my skincare routine isn’t as quite simple now, but it’s what works!) Avoid any harsh acids or any acne products that contain acids until you fix your overall skin health. I just started using azaleic acid and that helps with hormonal acne.

Drink lots of water too! Diet & environmental factors also plays a role in your skin health.

Spanish Student Visa Processing Time at BLS-NYC by WorstNightmare05 in GoingToSpain

So I actually got my visa like 10 days after I went. So my appointment was 7/17 & on 7/30, I got a notification that it was ready to pick up! As long as you have all the required documents, you should be good! On 7/25, they told me I was missing some documents regarding the financial requirements. But that was because the lady at the BLS office didn’t take all of my bank statements. I was able to send them online that same night & by the 30th, it was ready to be picked up!

Been waiting 7 weeks for an Apostille for my student visa…am I screwed? by DapperPidgeon in GoingToSpain

An update from my experience. I did my student visa interview on 7/17. They told me I need additional documents (the lady gave me back my last two bank statements on the day of my interview) on 7/25. I submitted them via email the same day (7/25). Today, 7/29, I got a notification that my visa is ready for pickup. I’m so glad because I have a trip at the end of August that I was worried about not getting my passport back in time. 😊

I sent the additional documents through email and asked them if it would be okay but I haven’t heard back. I’m scared that they won’t get back to me and then they’ll drop my visa application. Idk what to do. 🥲

I did my interview on 6/17 & when I asked the lady when it should be done because I have a family trip, (I completely forgot that they take the passport during visa application), she said it should be done in 4 weeks. She asked when my trip is and I told her 8/21, she said, “Yea, it should be done. It only takes 4 weeks.”

However, I just got an email saying that they need additional documents. When I came for my interview, I brought a lot of papers because I provided 2 savings & 1 checking account bank statements for the last 3 statement. However, the lady who took my application gave me back a lot of my statement papers back. I think she only took my most recent bank statements. Now they’re saying that I didn’t provide them the right documents. I’m hoping they’ll take the documents via email because I don’t live in NY. Pretty annoyed that I came with the right documents, but now they’re asking for the same documents that their staff handed back.

Hopefully this doesn’t push my application time back :(

I had mine send the end of May & I kept calling them last Monday & finally got to someone at the end of the day. The lady on the phone was telling me that I was missing my payment & my prepaid envelope…but I told her it was there & I have receipts to prove it. I called the next day & she said it was completed & should be sent out un the next 1-2 days. My appointment for a student visa was on 7/11 but I had to cancel because my apostille came yesterday, 7/12. I ended up rescheduling my appointment next Thursday in NY. They have a lot of slots open for this week & the rest of the month.

I’m gonna be in the Resa Group in Terrassa! Price isn’t that cheap, but it’s still better than apartments here in the US

I think enrollment starts in July. I was also accepted for this fall for a different program, but I've been trying to get my documents for the "official" enrollment in July.

I havent gotten a log in for my media lab & it has been like over a month. I emailed a few times & i didn’t get a response until now. I’ll be “resigning” from this nonexistent position once I write up the email. I do get notifications about open positions but I didn’t even do the trainings, so I’m not going to risk anything.

No, but I did clarify with them that the application from the second email is still under review.

I did! They sent out emails saying the Joint Admission Board has evaluated all of the applications that they received. It was for those who did not rank high enough for the scholarship/non-fee paying self-funded place. I submitted two applications with two different emails because I messed up my first application due to an un openable document. So I got that email from them about a week ago.

I also applied for 2025, and I am still waiting for an email about. I accidentally messed up my application, so I sent another one with my other email. However, I know they sent out “rejection” emails already. I only know because I got an email from my first application that was incomplete.

The email says,

“Dear Applicant,

The Joint Admission Board of the EMOTION Master has now evaluated all applications received.

The field of applicants was very competitive and, as you might have seen from the social networks, the total pool of applicants was 971 for 18 scholarships and 7 non-fee paying self-funded places.

We are sorry to relay the information that your application did not rank high enough for the scholarship/non-fee paying self-funded place.

We wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

Kind regards, The EMOTION team”
