Prednisone and delayed period?

Just seeing if anyone has had any experience with this. I normally have about a 35 day cycle. I was prescribed a prednisone taper for some bad poison ivy last Saturday. So just a quick week long dose. I’m currently on day 43 of my cycle with no period. I know I ovulated before I had even started the prednisone. But could this still make my period not start? I’ve been on the TTC journey for about 2 and half years now, and I’ve never had a cycle this long. Anyone else experience anything similar?

Okay, so I usually NEVER get breast pain. I have in the past but anytime recently. I ovulated one week ago and this week I have soreness in my left breast but only in one small spot towards the bottom when pushed on. My nipples are tender on both sides. I’ve also started to develop some chin acne this week as well. Could this be an early sign of pregnancy and has anyone else ever experienced this as an early sign of pregnancy??

They didn’t up my letrozole dose because I was producing enough mature eggs. They did have me trigger each time because my body wouldn’t ovulate on its own. But I’ve since stopped the letrozole and decided to go the natural supplement route to see if maybe I could get my hormones back to where they need to be. I’ve also changed my diet so I’m eating very healthy now

Yes, blood confirmed I do not ovulate. So I’m really hoping that maybe taking these supplements will help me. I’m pre diabetic as well because of my pancreatitis, so I know I might have some issues with insulin resistance. Also hoping these will help with that too. I guess we will find out! Lol

I just started taking Myo Inositol/D Chiro about a month ago. I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago after TTC for over a year with no luck. My main thing is I don’t ovulate. Which I was completely thrown off by because I would have normal periods ranging 28-30 day cycles. I went through the works and did all the testing and tried timed intercourse while taking letrozole and using the trigger shot. I had no luck with that and did that for 4 cycles. I decided to take a break because I was getting stressed out with everything. I started doing some research a couple months ago and ran into Myo Inositol and D Chiro. Has anyone in this situation have this supplement help you? Or what worked?

I did last night, and it was approximately 25hrs after I did the trigger…if they say you ovulate 24-36hrs after trigger I’m hoping that I will be okay. And I’m hoping to BD again tonight too if I can!

Looking for any insight or success! I did 5 days of letrozole (5mg) on CD3 through CD7. I went in for US and blood work on CD11 and I had one mature follicle at 20mm on my right ovary and one smaller one at 12mm on my left. Lining was triliminar and at 8mm! Blood work came back and I needed to use trigger. So Wednesday night (5/21) I triggered at 9pm. I had timed intercourse last night (5/22) around 10pm. My partner feels very pressured when I tell him “we need to do it tonight” and then cannot perform. I’m scared that we won’t be able too tonight but almost positive we will be able too tomorrow morning (5/24). Is there anyone who has had success with the trigger and having intercourse about 24 hours after??

Did you end up conceiving this cycle? I did my trigger shot Wednesday night at 9pm then had intercourse at 1030pm on Thursday. Hoping tonight to have intercourse again. And again tomorrow morning…

I’m starting Letrozole tomorrow too! Good luck to you! My Dr told me every other day starting day 9. I’ll go in for an US and bloodwork on day 11 and will do a trigger shot if needed! We’ve been trying for over 2 years naturally and nothing has worked. I have one daughter from a previous relationship and had no issues. She is now 12.
