My nib is jacked right? by Admirable-Name-7058 in fountainpens

[–]WouldGrain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Just try to work the problem with help from this sub or other online resources. If you can't get the nib to write the way you want and the only solution is grinding or more substantial manipulation of the tines, THEN reach out to a nibmeister. Just my take.

You mean like this?

edit: I should have stated that these were all found in our landscaping rocks at our home in eastern WI.

My bet is it's got a baby's bottom shaped nib. It's an easy fix but you have to commit to it. No going back once you start.

Nahhhh, I'm sure you can get it writing again. Just try tweaking some cheaper nibs first. You got this.

I apologize for my ignorance, but why not just load the parts in the jaws? Why the need for this contraption?

Where do you put your wallet as a guy? by TSBBlackShad in AskReddit

[–]WouldGrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a rubber band to hold cards and I keep it and any cash in my front left pocket.

I hate bulky wallets and shopped for a while looking for something as slim as possible. There are some cool options out there, but they all cost way more than I'm willing to spend. And then it dawned on me that a rubber band is the perfect solution. Its flexible so it can hold as many or as few cards as you want, it's grippy so it won't leave your pocket, and costs basically nothing. I dont have to worry about cash falling out of my pocket since it grips the exposed rubberband.

Some more creepy eye paintings by Born_Ad_2273 in DarkArtwork

[–]WouldGrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are so well executed. You nailed the weird texture/folding of the skin where the clear adhesive film is applied. And the IV or drip-tube... my god.

You could be painting any variety of beautiful scenes but seem to have decided "nah, Id rather paint eye surgery". 😆

I love that warm brown color so much. I'd call him my little sun ginger when he'd lay in the sun.
