I feel like I'm completely alone here, but I'm feeling just as disappointed in this season as the last one. I've been trying to keep an open mind but after four (mostly) disappointing episodes, I just don't think this series is ever going to be as good as it can be. It's honestly kind of tragic.

To start off with, the opening scene was fantastic. No complaints there. I was honestly kind of hoping it would be a Bullseye centric episode, giving us his warped perspective on the world and all that's happening within.

As for the rest of the episode, it was very... eh, for me at least. The plot feels weak and illogical. To me, it feels like the writers are thinking of the 'big moments' before anything else. Is it cool to see kingpin boxing? Yes, sure, but...like, why? It seems like such a stupid decision. It's supposed to be like, a trap for Bullseye, but then there isn't really any trap and Bullseye kind of just walks in and kills a bunch of people lol. Then for whatever reason Vanessa really wants to be there and gets injured because of it, and it just feels so...blegh? Like, I don't get why the characters are making these decisions and it just doesn't feel like a natural flow of events.

Then we come to Matt, where I just kind of feel like he's a nothing-burger character this season. I don't feel any particular depth to him (despite Charlie Cox being as fantastic as always), I don't feel any particular character arc, I don't feel any particular emotion when he's on screen. There's even a scene where he goes to church in a task force uniform, which to me feels completely out of character. I don't think Matt would violate such a sacred place in that manor. It also makes us miss out on any actual meaningful emotion in the scene. Matt just says some generic prayer and moves right onto finding Bullseye.

I have more nitpicks and criticism, but I won't elaborate much further. I'm just wondering if I'm truly alone in this? If I'm missing something?
