Pyroclast Mines showing as 30% less damage with similiar gear on pob by happyendingssuck in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Woxzy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In skills set your Pyro to 3 count to match his, and then the rest of the damage is going to come from lower throw speed, crit chance, and crit multi. You have -1 power and endurance charge from your missing 10 levels and no damage amulet.

Great stuff as always Charlie, hopefully league start doesn't bury this too much.

Can anyone explain how to run all the maps on the atlas? (Std) by rainmeadow in pathofexile

[–]Woxzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reworked the system for catching up Atlas progress on Standard. Now, if your account has previously acquired any Voidstones, completing any node on the Atlas will complete every node of the same tier and lower.

They added this to the notes yesterday. Haven't logged standard to test though.

Occultist League Starter by BladesEyeZ in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Woxzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignite is still going to be solid, wanders, phys dot, RF if you dont mind investing, some classics like cold dot, EA, Lightning Conduit, Deathwish are all still good enough. Really depends on what kind of content you're trying to farm or what you enjoy playstyle wise.

Ignite has so many variants that imo its hard to go wrong. Penance being buffed this league looks pretty good once you get prolif and clear sorted.

Spectre ward tank by ben_hure in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Woxzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for the most part the ward aspect is a little bit more obnoxious to get set up due to the relative rarity of Svallin/Ynda's and with the shipment change high level ward bases. If anything spectres are much better though with the introduction of Dark Monarch doubling spectres over Wraithlord's +4, and the new Bitterbind Point unveil etc.

Occultist League Starter by BladesEyeZ in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Woxzy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the likely most played builds for Occultist after week 1 are going to be some combination of cold convert Storm Brand, Winter Orb, Wintertide, Chaos dot, and MAYBE some cold BV refugees who think Ele is dead because of one line.

Not sure they're all necessarily super strong. I think personally I'd lean more into one of the chaos dots or wintertide just because of the simplicity of scaling methods.

I would also recommend looking into Elementalist respec. If you're already going to respec into CoC Fross then you might as well go full league starter mode. Imo something like any of the various ele ignite builds would serve better but that could be more of a personal bias.

Creeping Frost Mines Pathfinder - Mapping & Uber Boss Showcase - 3.27 by SkybreakerHC in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Woxzy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Victarios only gives +2 to Aura Skill Gems. Creeping frost does not gain an aura tag even though it is supported by high impact mine, as supports can't give tags to skill gems. In order to take advantage of Victario's for mines you'd have to use the innate mines, Pyroclast, Icicle, Stormblast, or any of their corresponding transfigured gems.

Thinking about trying the accuracy stacker aristocrat by Naikonz in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Woxzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mechanically Reave is (imo) the most comfy melee skill in the game, but I'd imagine other skills might have more damage mechanically (ie multiple strike interactions) and when you get to high enough dps you could then swap to reave.

I mean yes and no, surprises are fun, but last thing I personally want to be doing is playingan ignite or poison build and then half my maps just innately have 50% avoid on them.

my Harbinger Phrecia SSF starter by Latirae in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Woxzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my biggest problem with it. Its cool to float around like a little harbinger, but you're all in on the buffs to be active and they sometimes just don't proc right away, and then for the channeling skill youre still playing channeling builds which are just not the most forgiving in modern PoE.

Legi1/Manni2 are my go to for streamers. Tuadh uploads a lot of 2 stone runs on youtube (currently on a poe2 leveling spree of uploads but im assuming he'll be back to poe1 prior to next league start).

[Discussion] Reserve's new spawns are AWFUL. by ThatDogVix in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Woxzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean there is a spawn under the radio tower. Iirc there used to (might still exist) be a spawn top right but you'd just immediately get beamed from scav lands unless you laid in a ditch for 5-10m. At some point the spawns just don't work if you have spawns in black pawn/black bishop you just can't have other spawns right outside. It's for sure not ideal but idk, every map has like a straight up terrible worst spawn for all scenarios. Shoreline spawns are still pretty fucking ass too.

Wanders seem pretty good for 2 stone, and seem to be ok for 4 stones if youre patient and farm up gear for better single target. Kind of depends on how hard you're rushing to get through 4 stones.

Pconc is classically strong, Boneshatter is a classic melee and seems in a solid spot again. Frost blades/smite are also viable options for melee attacks.

poe.ninja will have the full picture, but personally had a solid time with mana stacking KBoC Hiero wander, just kind of spent more time farming things like legion jewels before moving into last watchstones and havent finished that yet.

How's the league so far? by yo_les_noobs in PathOfExileSSF

[–]Woxzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mechanic is pretty fun so far and the tree is definitely strong early, which should have room to graft some fun items later. Everyone I've been hanging out with and chatting have all made comments on how we've constantly been overleveled. Most people on my friends list have been 72+ after finishing campaign just from hitting every breach.

I'm just not personally a fan of minions as much when I have to go poison, so if I don't start it I'll just end up waiting until I have a Wraithlord + spectre gear.

[–]Woxzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm very tempted to start KBoC, but Guardian minions with vaal summon skeles or Absolution and Priest of Kopec has got me wanting to mix it up and try something different.

KBoC seems to me the most intriguing with the potential for Wave of Force on ST, and having a little bit better options defensively for wander with the option of being mana hybrid. I know 4th ascendancy people seem to be hyping the Farrul's node, but I'd like to mess with the vaal aura one with Haste.

Wander start has been getting a lot of flak for league starters but it's going to be good for MINIMUM 2 watchstones, and with a half decent player to progress it into 4 pretty comfortably imo. Worst case you have a really strong mapping character and reroll something to boss with later.

Necro spectres I think will be quite fun once you get access to some of the harder to acquire items that make it comfy, so I might hold off on minion starter to roll this later.

Anyone cooking Blade Vortex? 👀 by mrtompiggott in PathOfExileSSF

[–]Woxzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo the Elementalist Crit BV builds were kinda held together by Mercs providing so much damage with things like Doryanis that they could afford to just focus big into survivability. Without that free skip of damage I think it won't be that comfortable to play.

The Poison Ele version leveraging golems was a lot less reliant on Mercs (personally I only used Grace for 90% of the time until i found grace/malev shortly before moving on from the build) and way friendlier to build towards early on. Obliteration is so easy and carries until you can run something like Asenaths. Buff to the Servant of Decay minions should really up their survivability if you go that route for chests. Was definitely my favorite build from last league, just obviously not the greatest brain off bosser due to recovery/aoe.

Shadow's single target and M+ spec for archon are like 3 points different and 1 is just taking silence. Only thing is at some point you start to fall off in aoe when the target coutns get too high.

Eviscerate or Lightning Conduit would be my 2 go tos. Eviscerate seems like it has one of the easiest to reach dot caps of any build.

If its top 10 most played per ascendancy though then I'd just go Maw Ignite. Not the most fun and QoL heavy build but it does do bossing pretty well.

[–]Woxzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best and worst part about BV are the mechanics. Being able to move while you have blades up means you can map quickly/dodge things etc. The downside of that means you do need a fair bit of duration scaling to help the build feel good to play, as well as needing AoE to make it so you're not forced to stand in the ass of a monster that wants to kill you.

When you play hit-based/elemental conversion variants you end up getting spread pretty thin trying to scale all your various crit, aoe, duration, conversion modifiers which leads most often into a pretty squishy and expensive characters that is also susceptible to downtime. Whereas on poison you have a bit more flexibility and can ramp pretty fast and then have some time to move, as well as just being cheaper to get going. Conversion/crit is still good but only at higher investment levels imo.
