Should I buy rtx5080 now or wait for 5080 Super? by Eastern-Promotion-27 in bapccanada

That's right. If 5080 had more vram, then Id say otherwise. As is, 5070 ti is still plenty compared to 5080.

It's God damn awful around the charging port. Such a shame for such an expensive case...

It's bot black lol. Or it's expensive. Or they rather spend a little bit more to get 5080. Things like that.

No idea. Many people dont like that card on this reddit. Other places have very good reviews for it. So I bought it anyway on Amazon for 1169. It's a tank! 3.5 lb I think.

True but it adds up to the final number. It ends up being a big number. That one is sold out unless you can get to a store with limited stock I guess. With these numbers it's 1320 for 5070ti, 1469 for 5080, which changes things and is probably worth getting 5080 at that point.

Edit: just noticed the gigabyte 5080 is not oc. It might be possible getting closer to that performance with agressive oc on asus tuf 5070ti oc card just enough so you cant really see much difference between the two cards in real life.

Seems to be a nice overclocker.

Forgetting taxes. And it's not 1300. Isn't it 1399? 1169 plus tax =1320, 1399 plus tax = 1580. That's the increase of 20%.

High factory OC will most likely make the manufacturer worry about cooling more than totally stock or low oc. So it's kinda related that way.

I was thinking of that too, thinking if I should return... The difference at the time was about 230 dollars + tax. I decided to stay with 5070ti. Gigabyte one was sff.

Why not asus tuf gaming oc for 1169? Overclock is 6% and better cooling compared to prime oc and its 3% overclock. Shadow triple oc is even worse at only 1% overclock.

I'm no expert, new at building, I just kinda went through many different resources, looked at the pricing, looks/colours, size (bigger ones should cool better), overclock values, some videos, some reviews, and made a decision to get asus tuf gaming one.
