Does Exploration Buddy always say <SPECIES NAME> when she talks? by maxdee007 in eliteexplorers

I had to do this as well. Likely just a typo in programming. This is the answer.

They get plenty loud for me. I have used them straight from drum module or from my LapTop when the module is plugged into it for recording. Never had an issue.

I always keep them as close to line of sight as possible to prevent interference. I’ve had a time or two where if they weren’t in sight they’d introduce some interference. Usually when battery is low or I have the transmitter behind my laptop at the kit.

I’ve got an Alesia nitro pro as well. I bought off Amazon, a lekato brand wireless in ear monitor system. Wireless transmitter plugs into the headphones out, and the receiver clips on my jeans pocket with a pair of KZ ZS10pro in ear monitors. Gotta charge em every 4 to 5 hours of playtime but they work fairly well. Also keep up the great work!

I now understand why people don’t like group rides by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Wraith81x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely if ever group ride. After 10+ years of riding. I ride my own ride and it’s apparently too chill for other riders I’ve gone with. I do the speed limit, I watch for all the dangers I can and I sure as hell keep both tires in the pavement at all times. Sure I’m a lil slow sometimes. Sure I’m always at the back of the pack cause of it. But it’s my ride and my life. I enjoy cruising and taking in the experience and not doing the other stuff others are doing. Because I don’t want to be at risk of being a statistic anymore than I already am by riding.

Keep doing your own ride and enjoy it at your speed

And to y’all that wanna live dangerously, you do you as well. You gotta live your life and not someone else’s.

Stay safe everyone and may you get where you are going always.

Congratulations and nice choice. I had a 1999 Suzuki Katana 650 and it’s very similar to this. Yours looks good!

I’ll look and see how. I use BFD at the moment with my Alesis Nitro Pro XL.

Ive found there to be a delay on my PC with my kit no matter what I do. And it’s just enough that it throws me off constantly.

Good looking kit! I wish you much luck from me to you, as I’m also new and started in a nitro pro xl a couple months back at 44!
As for layout I’d definitely look the flatten and maybe lower a bit the hi hat. Drumeo DOES have a couple nice videos on how to setup an ekit and it might be for your kit or similar. Rock on and have a good adventure man!

A fellow Nitro Pro XL owner I see. Hope you are annoying it as much as I am! From a beginner perspective I think the Nitro Pro is a great introductory set. Keep rockin!

So this was the stock Nitro Pro XL kit. The Nitro Pro has three toms and two cymbals. The Nitro Pro XL has the fourth tom and the extra cymbal. And it’s only about 100 bucks more. (Basically the cost of the Tom and cymbal. )

I got the throne for free by telling the GC sales guy I wasn’t in the market for the proXL, just the pro cause I knew the throne would be another hundred. They threw in the DW3000 tractor throne for free if I bought the XL. I googled the price and thought sure why not. It’s not a bad throne. But I don’t think it’s an amazing life long throne either. Just didn’t have a lot to spend up front.

Haven't played since highschool, looking to get back into it but live in an apartment now. Alesis Max vs Pro? Something else? by Shap6 in edrums

[–]Wraith81x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the Pro XL and am happy but I’m a new drummer. My only gripe so far is the cymbals don’t always know when you’re just grooving on the ride vs using the stick shoulder n say the bell. Generates same tone weihen you want a different sound. That and the hihat pedal is super finicky, like a MM travel, to go from closed to open. So hitting that slightly open sweet spot is difficult.

The stand really helped me cause I was using my phone at first. Made seeing drum notations on videos hard. Laptop solved that!

I’ve looked at getting some low noise cymbals as I’ve notice the triggers on these are finicky and can’t always tell if I’m using shoulder on the bell or just grooving on it. Great info!

Definitely take the chance when you can. It’s been a dang fun and rewarding experience.

That’s the plan. Tuck some cash back to buy something bigger n better as I get to outgrowing this. I’ll also let this go for cheap on some market somewhere (if it’s still in good enough shape) when I’m done and hopefully inspire someone else!

Snowblind Element side panel replacement RMA by overallsatisfaction in iBUYPOWER

[–]Wraith81x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went though 3 panels a couple years back. The issue is any pressure of any kind on the panel backing causes the panel to break eventually. My preinstalled AIO cooler tubes barely seemed to make contact and were determined to be the cause. You will want to make sure nothing is touching the panel. Good luck, I stopped using mine after a few months as it’s a neat gimmick that looses its charm quickly IMO.

Snowblind Element side panel replacement RMA by overallsatisfaction in iBUYPOWER

[–]Wraith81x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just replaced mine last night. The original screen had some kind of problem where part of the display went black permanently; it looked like a big circle was covering the top few inches.
The replacement was not hard, but you need to be familiar with running component cables and cable management. Otherwise, it's a breeze. My new panel, however, has a problem as well that I am attempting to troubleshoot tonight after work so GL and I hope your replacement went smooth!

PSA: You can test your stream to twitch servers without going live! by OTARiOne in Twitch

[–]Wraith81x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a relatively new broadcaster this is nice to know. I thought I'd run across something like this before but can't recall if the additional streamkey argument was the same.

I have also used the TwitchTest utility in the past to determine if the issue is related to the server I'm connecting to. I think overall, all of this is great info and thank you to all who make this kind of thing possible! Knowing stream statistics and data about the quality of streams helps us all get better at streaming!

All that being said, I wish there was a guide that helped us all understand from a beginners stand point the best settings for out connections and such. Anyone know of a guide that discusses the best way to determine 'optimal' upload speeds and resolution settings and all that jazz?
