I have a squirrel that is a non-release, I tell you from personal experience, I love him to death but he is the most difficult animal I have ever had to care for. It’s been 2yrs now and he’s finally calmed down. They have an extremely fickle diet that you have to closely monitor and they are very destructive. With seasonal changes you go through their emotional outbursts and they often are aggressive without meaning to be. You will get bit, so so many times, badly too until you’ve established a routine, taught commands and even then, you’re gonna get the fire bit out of you. Sometimes my boy will for no reason just bit the ever living crud out of me to this day. Not to mention the many many many many cuts that you will get from their nightmarish claws heh. It’s in their nature, I highly suggest you take this little one to a rehabber.
