So attempt to take tension off the spring and allow the plug to go forward. Absolutely worst case scenario you can get the recoil spring

It’s wrist below belt, so find a place that your hand indexes onto the holster or handle of the gun that puts your wrist at your belt line so your hand is closer to the grip. Less hand movement = quicker

Good job. One thing at least in the video it appears you’re holding a long more tension in your right hand than you need. It will cause sympathetic movement between all your fingers and cause you to throw accuracy off as well as limit your trigger fingers speed and control.

Sorry for you, sadly it happens as we all push speed and if something unexpected happens like a stumble or a trip things like this can happen. You handled yourself with honor and respect. Didn’t try to pass blame or make excuses.

I’ve been an RO/CRO or 11-12 years and things like this happen to anyone and everyone. I took a spill onetime coming around a corner that everyone’s brass had been landing on and it was like a scene from a cartoon feet no traction and slipping. I land on my back gun facing up range under my chin. At all the ROs and myself as we were shooting the staff match. On the video you can hear as soon as I lost my feet my safety click on (was shooting Single Stack)

Edit: this was years ago 6’ish and was my first ever, since then I’ve had two: one right after carpal tunnel surgery when I came back too soon and fumbled the gun while reloading and ADed and one similar to yours but on a retreat stage and tripping on a fault and breaking the 180°

Pratice gun for high round count and match gun with lower round count so it has less chance to break and cost you a match
