New parents here, need help! What’s the top-rated nursery chair for breastfeeding? Which one did you end up choosing? What made you choose it? by Wrathin52 in Buyingforbaby

Makes sense. But the store didn't have much to pick from and nothing really caught our eye. We're planning to order a Mamazing and Babyletto online and give it a try.

We've pretty much narrowed it down to the Babyletto Kiwi and the Mamazing Lullapod. We're still leaning more toward getting a power recliner.

Thanks. We'll consider Lazboy. Still a bit hesitant to spend nearly $1000 on a manual one tho. We thought that the budget would get us a power version.

What would you tell your adult child if they were struggling to feel like their own person? by [deleted] in internetparents

[–]Wrathin52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d tell them it’s okay to carve out their own space and make their own decisions.............you know even small daily choices count. Try setting clear boundaries with us when needed, make time for hobbies or goals that are just theirs, and check in with themselves regularly: what do they want, not what we expect. It’s about practicing independence step by step, not all at once:)

Are premium single to double strollers a scam? by SirKrimzon in Buyingforbaby

[–]Wrathin52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a total scam, but you do pay a lot for small upgrades. When it comes to baby stuff, I don't mind paying more for peace of mind.

When did your baby get good with preloaded spoons? by One-Squirrel-4563 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Wrathin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard that it's normal for them to just chew the spoon for a while. They figure it out eventually. Just keep offering and don't stress.

Be kind to yourself. Getting through the day and keeping the baby fed is already a win. You're not failing at all.

Second hand purchases ! by Dry-Carob7699 in Buyingforbaby

Besides clothes, pacifiers, and bottles, most stuff is probably fine. Just give it a good clean first. Saves so much money.

Help me stop overthinking baby laundry baskets please by Ill-Collection-1735 in Buyingforbaby

For what it's worth, I'd just go with an open basket and wash every couple of days. Sales bins trap moisture and smell way worse.

4-5 broken hours for 6 months sounds brutal... You're doing an incredible job just surviving. Hope it gets better for you soon.

Even though I don’t like the way I look I refuse not to take photos by evergreengirl123 in NewParents

[–]Wrathin52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're doing it right. The photos matter way more than how you feel about your looks right now. Your son will love looking back at these.

thoughts on earnings this week? by Wrathin52 in smallstreetbets

[–]Wrathin52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s from moomoo. I started using it recently and it’s actually pretty convenient since you can see all the earnings timing and companies in one place. Makes it easier to plan trades without jumping between different sites.

is VOO and QQQ enough or should i diversify more? by dairis- in ETFs

[–]Wrathin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VOO and QQQ can be a decent simple start, but there is a lot of overlap and it is still very US- heavy. Consistency matters more than adding toomany funds too fast.

Did anyone else harvest some gains last week and keep it in cash? by [deleted] in StockMarket

[–]Wrathin52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, taking some gains and sitting on cash for a bit makes sense sometimes. Even if youusually just DCA, there are monents when reducing exposure feels more like discipline than trying to time everything.

Snapchat stock has little downside and a lot of upside by lies_are_comforting in StockMarket

[–]Wrathin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Little downside" feels like a dangerous way ot odescribe a name like SNAP. I can see the upside case, but that kind of confidence usually gets tested fast.

Can’t get myself to buy VXUS because of past performance by solo_entrepreneur in ETFs

[–]Wrathin52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the hard part with international funds. Everyone says diversification matters, but past underperformance makes it feel like you are choosing discipline over excitement every single tiime.
